01/6/2020 14:55 | Hi Ade... High volatility is associated with low trading volumes. Fewer active participants the less price competition there is between the MM's they'll put pennies up for bid/ask with most of their offers being much further away from each other. The illusion is a tight spread but if you bought or sold, you'll get best price from your broker which will be a blended average of prices, if your trade value exceeds the liquidity of the best offer. A bit like sweets for sale in baskets.. If you want 10 sweets and basket (a) has only 1 sweet for 10p and the next basket has 9 sweets for 12p.. you'll pick up the 1 sweet for 10p and the rest will be at 12p but the terms you received was (best offer) to fill your order. Rather than being all at best price on offer for all of your cash :-P | plat hunter | |
