frogkid,

Basically, it confirmed that the figures for the 1st quarter would be good, and that the company was in negotiations with several Blue Chip miners.

Nice BullsterThat's 25 and 14 million respectively for copper and cobalt then.Assuming a project average margin of circa 40% then that's an extra 15 million usd in earning.JLP is currently trading on an earnings rate of 4.5 purely based on copper and cobalt alone.Bonkers

Copper price jumps as Chinese imports surge:

Hopefully copper production @ Sable will be around 400-600 tonnes/month.

It would have been helpful for that to be confirmed in the RNS.

True, Plat Hunter,

Glencore changed over to mainly zinc after taking over the refinery in 2011. In 2014 it was put on care and maintenance because of the poor local economy and a row over a $12 million tax refund from the government. The decision to abandon the project probably came in 2016 when zinc prices fell to a punishing low of $1,470/t.

Chromite prices have risen by $10-20 per tonnes since the 14th of April to $200-220 per tonne on the 28th of April- however prices are down 47% compared to a year ago (Fastmarkets MB).

Metorex was hugely profitable before Glencore pulled the plug and they only did so because of their ongoing tax row
