Got to laugh at Justin waite calling Unilever boring. Its only gone up nearly 1100% over last 34 years sounds a steady investment to me.

Peter Higgins has made stacks of cash off AZN i suppose Justin would call that boring as well.

Its sensible long term investing in my eyes, not forgetting many decades of dividends...

I wished I invested in both these companies in the 90s, when I first started..

GHF was one of the best stock pickers around, I'm sure bb2 would agree.

4 years since GHF became a full time investor, hope he hasn't had to go back to work.
Been a tough few years for all investors.

Fire angle was once £3 a share, now 3p.

Several years ago even I thought they were a decent buy, with the Scottish regulation change on all new builds had to have a smoke alarm fitted in all rooms. Thankfully I didn't invest..

I believe he’s retired from social media. Maybe a wise move.

As the article says igoe104, KITW very much 'under the radar'.

These holiday companies like TUI and Jet2 are gonna struggle here. Consumers are feeling the pinch so are mostly staying at home. Holidays to the Greek islands are being cancelled.

Folk are being put-off going to Europe because they dont fancy being burned Lol..

Also if I had put in stop losses, alot of my multi baggers who have been stopped out.

Well over 23 years ago I purchased GFM at 6.25p just before the tech crash, they fell to 2.75p. Nothing had changed fundamentally so I added. Several years later I sold out for £1.25 if I had put in a stop loss or sold because they went down, I probably would be still working full-time today, instead of being a full time private investor. That laid down the foundations to grow my portfolio...

I've managed to retire in my late 40s doing shares a certain way so I think I stick to the same strategy..

Buy and hold

Even FNX dropped to £1.20s when I purchased then at £1.46. They are now over £2. If I would of followed NT advice I'd be kicking myself now, as I would of sold in the £1.20s...

But saying that he must be doing something right, as he's done well out of his trading style, but I suppose its easier if you have a big following who copy your trades...

Selling shares just because they have gone down is the quickest and surest way to not make any money on the markets.

I listened to NT podcast, some of it was ok, some sounded abit strange.

I don't know why he said sell shares that have dropped 60% etc, because you will keep looking at them in your Portfolio and get under your skin.

To me thats not a valid reason to sell a share just because its fallen. You personally need to take a personal close look at the company, and ask yourself do you think this company will improve in the future, then make a decision. If you think it will improve add shares at the lower level. If you automatically sell because a share has fallen, it will hurt when the company recovers from the bump in the road.

Also it seems he very chart orientated when making a decision to buy, I think looking more in the individual companies future tail winds and valuation is more important and worrying about whos selling and whos buying...

I’ve little time or interest for podcasts at the minute other than ones done by a company I’m invested in. Been around that long I guess I know it all 🤣

I wouldn't bother if i was you Lol..

One of his largest holdings is IQG where he claims to have added to. I bet if you asked him what it did he wouldnt be able to give you an answer..

A company with a £200m m/c with revenue at the half way stage of £20m and made a loss at the full-year of £913k. I mean c'mon man get real Lol..

If you want to waste an hour of your life then here you go:

I gave up about half way through because i couldnt stop laughing.

Just a promotion for his books, seminars and Stockopedia.
I will never understand why folk want to subscribe to stockopedia and pay a monthly fee when all the information is on companies websites. Just plain laziness. These subscription services are not needed.

Back to breakeven this week, helped by GTC FIF MSI and SSTY alongside adding some dividends to the portfolio. Something to cheer about atleast. 👍
