An an investor, would welcome an offer for the company. Given the £30-£32 region was seen less than a year ago, I'd suggest that an offer would have to be back somewhere in that area

As a Brit, would be a shame to see y e t a n o t h e r UK company with a long history disappear

I suspect the new shareholder is well known in the US which is why the shares have rocketed today. I posted last November that I would expect US private equity to break JMAT up in due course.
