'Jimmy Choo has performed strongly in 2014, with double digit net revenue growth at constant currency driven by a mix of like for like growth from strong product authority and retail excellence, new store openings with a focus on China and continued growth in partnership with our wholesale customers. Net revenue grew by 12.0% on a constant currency basis (6.2% on a reported currency basis) to GBP299.1m in 2014, driven by strong performance in both ladies' and men's shoes.'

I think with the high growth in focus on mens' shoes as well as the above this company should carry on being a good long-term bet.

'I hadn't thought about bridal shoes until I saw a tiny image of THE MOST amazing shoe in a magazine. It was a gorgeous stiletto sandal in bright gold and glitter that would look amazing under a wedding dress or teamed with skinny jeans (post-wedding day bonus).

The shoe's name is Greta and the designer is Jimmy Choo (pictured above). I had never owned a designer shoe, nor had I thought about it, but now it was an infatuation. I couldn't stop thinking about Greta and her price tag: AUD$1,100(ish)...almost as much as my dress'

Shopping centers are popping up in this new hot spot


....it's not only sun-seeking travelers who have their eye on the tropical island of Puerto Rico.

Next month, Taubman Properties will cut the ribbon on a 650,000-square-foot luxury mall in San Juan, which is being billed as the first luxury shopping center on the island.

Saks and Nordstrom will serve as anchor tenants for the high-end property, which will include about 110 storefronts. Taubman expects that about 50 percent of the shops, including the two anchors, will be unique to the island.

In addition to those department stores, other tenants that have signed onto the project are Versace, Louis Vuitton, Kate Spade, Jimmy Choo, Gucci and Omega (for all but Louis Vuitton and Gucci, these are thekrystina gustafson brands' first locations in Puerto Rico).

Managed to keep my JC shares, but had to cut and run from another share that has been a pain from start to finish.

Back in UK having been diagnosed as having damaged ligament in my ankle that requires surgery for lateral ankle ligament reconstruction which sounds much grander than it is, but will still cost me a few thousand, but which I might be able to reclaim from insurance.

Never felt worried at owning JC's in the least, so a lesson learned that if you do not trust a company do not invest in it, as no matter how good the company's assets seem to be, if those running it leave a doubt in your mind, walk away or hobble.

Holding on to all of my JC founder shares.
