The rich are buying up all the housing stock ?More Billionaires than ever ?If it gets worse, revolution will come eventually. That's what's happened elsewhere. Seems like a war is brewing and if it Iran is involved you ain't seen nothing yet on migration? That's without the climate ?Anyway off to enjoy a couple in Spoons in the sun lol ?4 bottles for 11.80Can't beat it with a big stick ?The first time ever I've voted for an Independent today ?Hope she's better than the other shower lol ??

It's true that they believe the job is beneath them ?The attitude isn't going to change overnight as they don't have spare money at the end of the week ?Work is a means to have some enjoyment in life after the shift ?Otherwise why bother ?

I don't believe the employers have much choice in who they hire ?There aren't going to be thousands of older people that want to work for 11 quid an hour ?Who are these right wing people that will do it ?The same with care home staff ?The foreigners are gone with brexit ?Make do with it now ..??The Tories wanted brexit ?

I don't believe it matters whether the staff are young or older, but that they want to give good service .Some can't be bothered and others are extremely helpful? When I was in the bookies, I would make a point of going from behind the counter and engaging with everyone. Consequently they all kept returning ,as they wouldn't get better service anywhere else .These days I find people in these shops hardly even acknowledge you lol ?One particular barmaid in a Brittania hotel bar stood out ,as she always knew who was next ,even in a crowded bar .Some just serve the nearest to them and never move from one spot .

That's manchester??Govt subsidise business through benefit tops us such as housing and tax credits ?Bookers a cash and carry owned by Tesco, only allows workers to do maximum 24 hours ?They earnt 2.8 billion profit last year?Hopefully Labour will change this scam ?FACTThis is the CHEAPEST 2 bed house on rightmove within 10 miles of centreSo let's do this for a new family:- Rent £750- Council tax £115- Gas/electric £200- Water £30- Food £500- Internet £20- Phone bills £30 (Airtime only, not including the phone itself)- Car £150- Car insurance £100 (for 2 drivers being extremely generous)- Car maintenance £50 (£600 per year)- Fuel £50 absolute minimumOk so just to survive in a house which isn't great located in an area which also isn't great costs £1,995 per month. Now you have the cost of baby clothes, toilet roll, washing up liquid, shampoo, nappies, haircuts and all the other general stuff on top of that which I would also consider as survival items in a first world country.Let's say all of this if you're lucky comes to £300.Now you're on £2,295 and you haven't even done as much as treated yourself to a KFC.In order to earn £2,295 per month you're salary has to be 35-40k.So you're living a low quality of life, just getting by and earning 35-40k per year. Now let's add a holiday. You want to go away for 1 week? Oh that's at least £100 per month in savings. Now let's add unexpected expenses.Your car gets broken into, that window is going to cost at least £200 to replace but you're living pay cheque to pay cheque, where's the money coming from? Not insurance because you have to pay excess. It's coming from rainy day savings which should be at least £200 per month. Now we're up to £2,595.But what's that I hear, you want some new clothes for yourself, £50 per month extra.Oh and ermm yeah I can't go without my coffee, £2 per day, £60 per month. Also I almost forgot to mention, I have these things called hobbies, I like to play video games, watch Netflix, go to the pub every now and then you know, just live a normal life.

Disagree. Most of the Staff I know have been there years, I went to the Peckham one the other Week and saw a Barman there who left the Company to do a Music thing but it didn't work out and they took him back and he is Manager level now and was happy they took him back.
Most of the Staff pre Covid are still in the same Pubs too and I've asked them if they are happy with their jobs and they are. They have no reason to lie to me, I'm just a punter. They do move around from Pub to Pub, probably just for a change of scenery.

G'day,

I'm a holder, down a tad at 742.

I suspect Tim's major problem is with Landlords.

So one wonders why busy outlets are closed?

If landlords cannot accept a deal, he moves on.

Cut and thrust, he looks to the future (prices/Supers), he will fight that factor,

but in the meantime, he will run the business as should be.

He is outspoken, remember he revolutionised the industry, for the customer.

Yes, he screwed the breweries, and encouraged local breweries to compete, they are.

Hence, you can walk in one of his Devon pubs and buy a pint of decent beer for less than £2. Apparently, excellent meals also.

Job done
