Looking at last years H2 eps and assuming similar growth 4.5%, then on target for consensus of 12.9p eps (I actually got 12,7p so near enough).The Nike outlook though (-10% in Sales for their Q2) has clearly impacted on today's decent numbers here. Yes JD has multi brand offerings but the largest sales drop at Nike Q1 was North America.

And once again turnover and operating profits are up for JD.

Investec had £390m pbt forecast according to The Times on Monday, so looks about a 4% beat. Early days but I think they are holding that back for a beat or extra room should Nike cause some H2 weakness.

I believe we will see 136p again and if support goes the we are looking at 120p as next support.Not a buy yet imo.

JD Sports Fashion beat a consensus forecast for first-half profit and said it was on track to meet annual guidance, showing its multi-brand strategy working at a time when Nike is struggling.

The FTSE 100-listed group, which sells Nike, Adidas, On, HOKA and other brands in Britain, Europe and the United States, said on Wednesday it would meet targets, despite what it called a competitive and promotional marketplace.

Nike on Tuesday posted disappointing quarterly sales growth and warned its holiday season would likely to be filled with discounts

Only negative I can see "JD UK- The UK is JD's most mature market and saw revenues fall 4.6% to £1,235.3m, driven by the disposal of non-strategic brands over the previous 12 months"

Nike results are out. Now down 5% after hours in US. If JD sports interim results tmrw are bad, then expext share price to drop to 140.

Yep very odd sequence of trades.Would guess tomorrow's numbers could be overshadowed / influenced by what's happening across the pond - both in terms of Nike's Q1 and US markets reactions to Iran / Israel.

Most of them appeared/reported in the last 10mns with approx 3pm time stamps

Rightmove and JD have both been ignored over the last 4 years despite growth over the last 4 years

One suspects that this is being addressed now and we are entering a period of catchup

Sentiment has definitely moved

DKS issued strong Q2 numbers and raised earnings outlook for the year, but apparently didn't raise as much as analysts had hoped, plus there must have been some profit taking as it's gained 95% over the last 12 months (unlike JD!).

DKS down 7% and falling. Results not seen as favourable!
Exogenous factors like Inventory shrinkage entering the accounting system now seen as the norm!
