Most of customers are young with no commitments like mortgages or debts, new trainers are considered a must have for black youth. Don’t think cost of living crisis impacts jd

Barty, JD are undervalued by the market, it’s an issue across the board with U.K. shares.

Tuesday got off on the right foot with the BRC Retail Sales Monitor showing exceptional March consumption trends as early Easter sales helped to drive sales up 3.6% year on year.

Folk dont have the money these days and what they have will not go on JD Sports many of their products are over priced, why do you think when you go into JD Sports its always quiet ?

Like many, people get greedy and will get away with it for so long then the tide will turn.

IMO you are well off the mark, so all of the BoD have colluded in an act of fraud by publishing falsified accounts in order to buy some "cheaper" shares - what a crazy thing to think. As part of their LTIP they are required to purchase shares to a value double their salary, so they will be buying at opportune moments just like anybody else if they think there's value.

Aimloser, so they didn’t lower their profit expectations, that was made up?
Do you actually think the £100k invested by the CEO was fraud rather than a symbol of faith.

I’d say £100k is pocket change to the CEO of a ftse 100 company.

And just to add I am sure they would never do this as they are all lovely honest people and I am misguided

I have a theory (and it is only a theory) that BOD put out a profit warning that makes price drop, then load up knowing full well it is undervalued and will rebound.
Like I said I could be well off the mark but for a ftse 100 company this is far too volatile for my liking. That and miserly dividend considering selling

Such a resilient company.

Belief in JD has not been resilient though. it has been rediculous how the market has treated the share price

With this robust trading update I expect them to go back to highs

Multiple used to be mid 20s to 30s

the current PE is circa 12. (the pe ratio on advfn is just wrong .. a function of the disastrous change seen to financial pages at ADVFN).

Fully expect the PE to climb back into the 20s

Ahh centrica, had them from 35p area, had a huge row with discodave45 on that board, I said heading over a quid, he said going to pot, he went nuts over that, worth looking at posts from that era, quite funny really.

It's a growth company.
I would imagine the growth years are nearing end, then the profits go into divis and buy backs mostly, say 70/30 with 30 for acquisitions and organic growth., post taxes that is.
