01/2/2015 17:25 | Had to add a width parameter to the "blue bar" at the top. | steelwatch
01/2/2015 16:11 | OK thanks. What did you do? | pvb
31/1/2015 23:25 | pvb - you viewing in Chrome? Try Firefox if not IE. Like I said, this is an issue brought on by recent Chrome and Opera updates. I've changed nothing and there was no problem reported previously. edit: how's it looking now? | steelwatch
31/1/2015 23:04 | Switch to IE? You must be joking! There is a big blue 6 ft long bar at the top of this thread, followed by a lot of blank space then posts which are the same length. Every other thread I see is fine. | pvb
31/1/2015 22:53 | pvb - looks normal to me, but I'm told something changed recently to Chrome and Opera browsers which is beyond my ken. Try switching to IE or Firefox. | steelwatch
31/1/2015 16:17 | So even less relevant to reality then. I didn't check before posting. Thought it did sound peculiarly low. What has happened with this thread's formatting? | pvb
31/1/2015 16:15 | Thanks Pastybap, I missed that bit. I'm thinking 10p was too cheap !! | tenapen
31/1/2015 16:13 | Hi tenapen. 10p is the nominal value of each share and is pretty meaningless in relation to John Laing's valuation. The actual price of each share will be in the range 195p - 245p. | pastybap
31/1/2015 16:11 | What is striking in the issue price of the John Laing company, 10p. Why would it be so low ? and would that be seen as a good price with plenty of room to rise and little room to fall. Nothing about JL but just to point out that a share can rise or fall 10%, 50% or 100% just as easily whether it is priced at £10 or 10p. | pvb
31/1/2015 16:04 | Hi, I am just looking at the IPO's advertised on the Jarvis web-sites. I work in construction so i know first hand how busy companies are. What is striking in the issue price of the John Laing company, 10p. Why would it be so low ? and would that be seen as a good price with plenty of room to rise and little room to fall. Thinking allowed but any thoughts would be most appreciated. Best Wishes to All. | tenapen
11/12/2014 09:39 | D Day ☺ | steelwatch
07/11/2014 04:30 | Missed 'Not' out of last para | smackers prudentia
07/11/2014 04:28 | Interesting company in terms of opportunities but there technology sand features of their trading facility now look very datedJust moved our company account away as quite poor serviceIf they overall their technology and introduce an iPhone & Android App they will certainly start to move forward as lots of opportunities out there to increase market shareAt the moment their proposition does appeal to younger tech savvy investors which is a great shame | smackers prudentia
06/11/2014 18:32 | :) Nice all the same. Regards | tenapen
06/11/2014 18:09 | LOL. The header has been hacked by some clever individual. Nothing to do with me. | steelwatch
06/11/2014 17:35 | Hi Steelwatch, The JIM chart is nice to look at (for long term holder) but the picture is even nicer. | tenapen
06/11/2014 08:16 | Jarvis Securities (LON:JIM)‘s stock had its “buy” rating restated by stock analysts at WH Ireland in a report issued on Wednesday. | steelwatch
05/11/2014 19:23 | A dividend cut :( . It will be interesting to read report to see where the lose of earning came from !. Still ok and they keep the DRIP, so hae ho. | tenapen
24/10/2014 07:54 | Jarvis Securities (LON:JIM)‘s stock had its “buy” rating restated by research analysts at WH Ireland in a report released on Thursday. | steelwatch
22/10/2014 17:35 | Hi Steelwatch, I tend to trade online but remember something being said about trading on tablets etc. I had it in my mind that was the reason for Jarvis to upgrade their security. Wrong again and thanks for asking the question :) . The forthcoming results should be interesting !. I struggled with security pass-words etc for the new system and if i was not a shareholder in JIM i may have looked elsewhere. I wonder how many people thought the same !. Also i read snippets that trading in the US and UK were very quiet over the summer months !. Not long to wait to find out if that was true. Regards. | tenapen
22/10/2014 08:33 | Hi ten, at one time there was an iPhone app, but it was withdrawn. Just emailed info@sharedealactive to ask whether they intend introducing apps for that + Android, but they say they have no plans to at present. However, it is possible to deal on line via browser app, e.g., Firefox, Chrome etc., in the same way as on a PC or Mac, if that helps? | steelwatch
21/10/2014 20:16 | There is nothing like a market sell off and buy back to add to JIM's bottom line. Bring on the DRIP :) PS, i do not have a tablet or up-to-date smart phone so i would not be in need of the service. As Jarvis launched their service to be able to deal on new technology ?. Thanks | tenapen
16/9/2014 14:34 | DRIPS in :) Q4 declaration due on or before 13 November. | steelwatch
08/9/2014 18:29 | Recent dip means more DRIP :) | steelwatch
08/9/2014 17:59 | Im still to do the change, but with no money there is no rush for me. | tenapen |
