If anyone knows how to do it, we could use an up to date thread.

Moi !!!?

I tell it how I see it Mr black bird, and I saw the brokers moving higher in near unison. Make of it what you will, but I shared what I saw. I also note the brokers have continued to move higher .... or could I be a Ramping ..... Mmmmmmm !.

Looks like the brokers as a sector got a positive note from someone. AJB - Cmcx - STJ - JIM all went higher at circa 1.30 / 2pm with HL. Playing catch-up at 3pm ish.

Mmmmmmm !

His longevity in JIM shows he is not exactly a new broom....
Imho we need the stables properly swept clean to get the FCA off our backs, but all we seem to be being fed is "more of the same", excluding dividends of course !

Hi bmcollins,

It's not as if he is new to the company.

I'm sure we will laugh about this affair in ten years time, Mmmmmmm ! maybe Not.

Totally agree with you, this new CFO is as vocal as a deaf mute as far as the long suffering shareholders are concerned.
Not a peep from him so far...

Fear not - the chart says buy.

A better metric would be for the new FD to buy some shares ! if not him ..... any BoD member would do.

I won't be holding my breath.

I see Robbie Burns has just bought here 😊
Obviously thinks they're very cheap.
The weekly chart is certainly indicating that CMCX is very oversold.

A little while ago I posted a link to an FCA letter addressed to all CEO's of financial services companies.
The content of the letter was to inform them of the FCA's intentions on improving among other things, customer outcomes and prevention of finacial crime.

The reason I posted it was to highlight the fact that all companies, not just JIM, are under the microscope and the breadth of their investigation might go some way to explaining the slow progress in JIM's case in particular but more likely across the board. I am posting it again as it got no comment and might have been missed in the volume of posting at the time.
A couple of extracts of particular interest:
-------------

...we are particularly focused on ensuring you prevent financial crime and meet your Consumer Duty outcomes. Our supervision is shifting to become more assertive, intrusive, proactive and data driven. We are conducting more short notice and unannounced visits where we deem it appropriate. And we are significantly increasing the use of our formal intervention powers for the worst cases.

and

We welcome the 99% response rate last year to our data survey. This resulted in a number of interventions, skilled person reviews and improvements to systems and controls, governance, leadership and products and services.
---------------

So every company in the sector is being looked over and hopefully the whole business will lose its reputation of being "too risky let's just put the money into property". For the latest installment, I don't see any worries with Jarvis's low cost but no interest, simple business. No complicated derivitives, no hidden charges, straightforward t's and c's,and no credit.

Ultra Quiet thread - dead, actually. Is anyone looking in? share price completely hammered and dividends cut.
Does anyone know enough about the implications of the FCA interest to explain where JIM is likely to be headed with this? I don't understand enough of their business to make any decision here. JIM is either a stonking buy at this price, or it's going under without a white knight turning up. Anyone?

Any chance of keeping to JIM on this board and not these petty personal grievances ?

There was no need for it. My post 3316 simply googled the normal way brings up the relevant CASS data clear as a bell. Only conceited arrogance from a poster too bone idle to look it up.

Thank you steelwatch, at last, I was nearly past caring.
So not "the FSCA CASS handbook" as in 3307. Who would think it possible to miss-spell FCA, there are plenty of things that I don't know and I assumed that FSCA was one of them.

3323 your post was not only incorrect was also offensive nothing polite about it at all. But investors have to make their own judgements about the integrity and compliance of companies they use- can only research information as best can! But my own experience with Jarvis as a stockbroker has always been good.

I asked you politely what your post meant and would you explain it. I'll ignore your outburst and try again, can you explain what " CASS 7A 1.1.2 Annex 6 Sub-pool document " is and where can it be found for the benefit of the unenlightened.

You plain ignorant yourself who the hell are you just read the CASS document.Beneficial Owners assets have to be protected. Jarvis are signed up to this and transparent in confirming it.No problem with either cash or beneficial owners investments In event of them ceasing to function as stockbrokers could be with another broker you might not have chosen but not their intention.
