Hi,
I'm not suggesting anyone involved with Jarvis management but now. They have had 17 (seventeen) long months to show some confidence Jarvis will get out of the gutter, they haven't.

I would buy again, but is still above my next target price. I will assess this again if there is a clear sign of a rally and jump on board. So for the time being I continue to just hold.

Maybe if directors were to buy at this time and the share price rose sharply. They could be suspected of inside trading.

The share price is surely flat, but having said that it's at the bottom so hopefully it can only go up!

Not even a £500 buy from any of them to show the slightest bit of confidence that Jarvis has a future since their mistakes crashed the share price. Hence the share price is flat in the gutter, while the other listed broker move higher.

Perhaps they already have a significant amount of personal wealth tied up in the business.

In any event the Company will have entered a closed period pending the release of the 2023 annual financial results.

AJB / HL. / CMCX all flying high since I flagged the broker sector moved higher in unison. Only Jarvis is still at decade lows and flat. But then not a director or one of the Grant family have purchased one JIM shares.

FCA investigating anything related to the finance industry - it has to be a government stealth tax grab.

All the platforms face the same challenges. Loss of interest income is substantial. As can be tseen by the changes to other chargss.

With around a 100,000 retail accounts. Recouping the lost income shouldn't be too challenging for X-O.

Thanks for the link, I had missed that. Should hear something on it by the end of Feb. Be interesting to see what they do. They may review their dealing charges/add custody charges if they start paying interest, but increasing dealing charges may see people move elsewhere. Tricky one for them either way.

Company Update

The Company also provides a further update on the skilled person review announced on 16 September 2022 (the "Announcement"). The Company advises that pursuant to section 166 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 ("s.166") ("FSMA"), an additional review (known as phase 1c) ("Phase 1c") is required by the FCA to be undertaken in respect of its subsidiary, Jarvis Investment Management Ltd ("JIML") . Phase 1c will review JIML's approach to uninvested client cash, interest retention and term deposits.

AJB were quick off the mark with their RNS statement on interest on cash on accounts plus a lot of good policies about staff welfare - Jarvis could learn a lot from reading how the big boys work and react.

Thanks Tena, I never have that much sat in an account but nice to get interest on what I do have. I've not heard anything about X.O. intending to pay interest, I'll get in touch with them and see what they say.

All the brokers have to start paying interest on money held on account.

I trust the FCA are forcing the banks to do the same. My RBS account has never paid me a pennies worth of interest - granted I don't have more than bills money and that doesn't stay long - but not a penny.

I read the FCA were investigating the insurance sector also. Surely all this investigation and fines of the Financial sector .... is just a stealth tax for the government!.

FIBs or PIBs ?

X-O will trade any instrument listed on the LSE.

If you are unable to find the ticker. Contact X-O. They'll add the stock. Probably not neccessary as there's few investments that no one has traded previously.

Not sure on the prefs/fibs. I've had an X.O ISA and share dealing account for a while. Fairly no frills but has suited me and been happy with them. That said, actually thinking of moving away. AJ Bell's dealing charges will be similar come March/April and they pay interest on cash in the account, which X.O do not.

Best to call them and ask, I'm very pleased with my Share dealing active account as is my wife with her XO a/c but we don't deal in anything other than equities, given that JIM have a SIPP offering too I imagine that they will facilitate fixed income stocks but easy to check before you transfer.

My pockets aren't deep enough to have been the 10k shares buyer.

I will have to make do with a big 500 shares.

More than the Grant family or board members have bought !.
