28/6/2007 10:17 | Just as long as you remenber they are specialist timber suppliers. Beams and eaves no high class kitchen cabinets yes. | poacher45
28/6/2007 10:07 | And Gordon Brown as new P.M., a tax and spender, who makes no secret of his wish to see a lot more homes built. I think that demand for timber will be high and rising for some time to come. | wiganer
28/6/2007 09:37 | A very bizzare reaction to an excellent set of results. On very low volume, this will recover and go higher . | hvs
28/6/2007 09:22 | wiganer you forgot the low pension defecit which will hopefully be non exisitant by the end of this year | ntv
28/6/2007 09:20 | wd poacher you have banked an excellent profit | ntv
28/6/2007 08:50 | Well, good luck to you poacher, and so far your sell looks better than my topping up. But I'm struggling to find a company offering better fundamental value. £43m NAV £42.8m NTAV £35.4m Net Current Assets £8.9m Cash £5.8m PBT £4.1m PAT Market Cap £54m Just too cheap. | wiganer
28/6/2007 08:45 | AFX have also reported that turnover was "1.15 bln a year ago". Laughable. | wiganer
28/6/2007 08:42 | This is a share I have been in since I paid just over 400p and then recieved 4 shares for every one. The management is first class and the decisions they have made have been spot on. The figures are as good as they can be but I have sold all of mine before and after the results. The reason being that everything goes full circle and the price of wood is at its high. If they were to make aquisitions they would have to pay top price for them. There are no more profits to come from property sales and the loss of earnings from Nevill Long will hit hard. I think they wanted to take the company private but the share price went too high. I am very sorry to be this negative regarding a company that has been so good for me. I wish all shareholders, directors and the company the best of luck and perhaps some day I will buy again. | poacher45
28/6/2007 08:29 | Added more at 273p. | wiganer
28/6/2007 08:21 | Just added at 275p. If it goes lower I'll add more. Sellers are numpties. | wiganer
28/6/2007 08:19 | £43m NTAV, £4m profit, strong start to year, £58m market cap. Cheap as chips. | wiganer
28/6/2007 08:17 | guess are disapointed there is no special divi but this company could grow quite quickly and it has good asset backing | ntv
28/6/2007 08:12 | perhaps some cheap stock coming our way first two months of current yr are encouraging which means they are probably very good because of the way they always played down trading in the past | ntv
28/6/2007 08:11 | Very good results and more important looks like they are bent on making further progress. A share to lock away. | hvs
28/6/2007 08:07 | Trust AFX to apply their typical misleading headline "profit dips". | wiganer
28/6/2007 08:04 | Pleaased with the results and increase in dividend. | rogerbridge
28/6/2007 07:23 | puka results with encouraging trading note this comment There are plans to move the Dudley and Eastleigh depots which have outgrown their existing sites. Opportunities to extend the geographic coverage are being pursued, as are other opportunities to grow the business through acquisition. some more property profits to come with a bit of luck ;-)) 25% increase in divi | ntv
27/6/2007 23:08 | results due in the morning hopefully no special divi but significant profits and bullish statement will do nicely | ntv
