I looked at the trades, is there something odd about 9 million UT at 60p, so someone seems to be reading a lot into the deal. If they have kept this down to 60p for the last months, it seems like an ordinary day to me. What am I missing?

Stan, if Goldy's irrelevant to you, how come you answer his posts in milliseconds. I know that you cannot stop your love for him. Like a battered wife you wait on tenterhooks for Goldy's next post.

Stan, it's ok. your love for him is an open secret on the ITV bb.

Not too long to wait now, I gave you a heads up on the option front on the ITV 60p January calls, 9.5 million and change at close on another deal from earlier this week. I don't know the correct number but it has to be North of 100 million shares they have taken out of circulation in January.

Some of you lot know how it works, supress the share price and keep it around the 60p strike mark, you make a lovely premium when the PUTS expire worthless and you exercise your right to buy the 60p calls, nice work when you have the power working for you....at 4.35 the 9.523 million shares at the 60p strike are now ready to put with the other millions for a later. Look back over the week's trades and count how many shares went at 60p on the money. How to manipulate the share price with the help of the Market Maker!

To the clowns that doubt what I have been telling you, you can laugh, but it won't be long now.

Stay long friends and fill your boots Stan!

Indeed. Especially given the level of short interest in that one. Lots of theories doing the rounds on one of the US chat boards right now. I recently retook some that I sold. I thought about buying a few more for a side pot trade yesterday. But naturally, I did not. IMO, that bid is not going to be accepted, which the market appears to be in agreement with. Nevertheless, I think someone is going to buy them, so keeping those that I have to see how this plays out (assuming my 20 USD sell order does not hit today). Hopefully BA will make an offer for ITV. He can have mine for 80p lol :)

Very muted pop in the share price of Paramount on the US open. Seems it's not being seen as a credible bid for some reason.

growth in studios, spin it off, split ITV in two (Stuios and TV) or sell it.

Huckers: I slightly disagree - judging by the price the market will be pleasantly surprised if we get the full dividend - the surprise will be the other way around

I agree and hope you're right. But dividend cuts often surprise!

Old news, situations change. I hope they are able to maintain the dividend. I just think there is reasonable doubt.

Huckers: I read from the summer:

"
The Board has declared an interim dividend of 1.7p (30 June 2022: 1.7p) and remains committed to paying a total dividend of at least 5p for the full year, which is expected to grow over time
"

5p as a percentage of 60p is a dividend yield of 8.33%..... This was written only a few months ago...

netcurtains. As has been mentioned before, due to the difficult advertising backdrop you have to be prepared for the dividend being cancelled or cut back. That's not a prediction but nonetheless I think it prudent to not consider it as solid.

Google has the dividend yield of ITV at 8.39%

that is huge.

50p will come before Easter, it's certainly worth that.
