08/6/2021 19:14 | nige3000 adrs traded, 1/300 of uk volumewill be treated as the irrelevance it is by lse tomorrow, unfortunately | stansmith3
08/6/2021 18:35 | No volume in the automated book but can be traded as an ordinary trade at similar prices.Let's see but again as ADR volume spike it's unusual. | hades1
08/6/2021 17:49 | More trade in the late reported ones so far than the whole of today's trading session. Good to see the market is still up to their gameplay !! | ivanborsky
08/6/2021 17:16 | Someone loves ITV. ADR's currently up to the joint year high of $19.79 +2.81% UK equivalent 139.99p. It's not you Stan is it? Lol | nige co
08/6/2021 10:43 | It's just a low volume market, not many sellers. If there was the sniff of a bid, it would fly. I put any bid rumours aside, if one comes, it would be a whole lot better in a year or more. We need some good numbers, reinstate the dividend and growing the share price organically toward the 170-200p mark. Then a bidder would have to stump up a decent premium. 250-300p could happen. Good things come to those who wait. | slater5
08/6/2021 09:36 | nigei dont agree that is the case, so cant explain itthe facts bear out my explanationthe adrs regularly close higher than uk price, even when 40m were traded ONCE, the uk price carries on where it left off, the usa trading is ignored as it is irrelevantmaybe you should explain why trading which is always (bar once) around 50000 shares per day should move the london price?you actually expect the equivalent of one london trade to move the price 3-4% ? | stansmith3
08/6/2021 09:30 | Stan, please explain this scenario, if the ADR's were to open up say down 4% the UK price would drop, yet if the ADR price was to start the day up 4% the UK price wouldn't match it. Another example that I've noticed quite a few times between 16:30pm UK time between the closing auction of 16:35pm, if the ADR's move sharply one way or the other it can move the closing UK price. Yet you claim the ADR's are irrelevant? | nige co
08/6/2021 09:15 | nigeyes, of coursei have explained many times its not a higher valuation its just a premium - big difference its all related to volumeif the usa was trading at a higher valuation then people would simply sell their shares into the usa mkt, but there is no demand there, hence the uk never rises to match the usa pricewhen there is demand and hence volume you will see the effect you desire, but for now the demand is poxy, a bit like the premium if you were to include currency costsand its really worth emphasising that the volume in the usa is not just low, it is routinely one hundredth of the uk volume, making it irrelevantso that makes the one or two days of high volume we had all the more exceptional and interesting | stansmith3
08/6/2021 09:06 | MAY retail figures just out. Biggest rise in sales since start of pandemic. This probably also means bumper advertising revenue. | netcurtains
08/6/2021 09:03 | Wiganer, UK have to disclose holdings of 5% or above, USA have to disclose 10% or above. | nige co
08/6/2021 09:01 | "S4 Capital has raised its profits forecast for the second time in a month thanks to the bounce in the global economy." This bodes well for ITV. | nige co
08/6/2021 09:00 | Does an ADR holder have to declare holdings in same way as someone buying a Stake via UK Shares? If not, there’s your answer. | wiganer
08/6/2021 08:58 | Stan, I'm merely pointing out that the USA put a higher valuation on ITV than the UK. Like I have said previously if ITV were a USA company they would hold a higher market cap. Yes, we are all aware that the volume of ADR's is very small in comparison to the UK market, after all ITV is a UK company. We are still waiting for clarification of the very large volume in ADR's traded last month, any thoughts on this? | nige co
08/6/2021 08:45 | Yes strong TV advertising markets with June up over 100% according to the industry trade journals. Slow start this morning with increasingly light volumes and a poor L2/3 - today anyway. But things should pick up with improving news flow. Still no explanation of recent incredibly high ADR volumes. | hades1
08/6/2021 08:19 | Any movement to the upside hereon in is yet another year high for the ITV price, could be slow going on that basis but with S4 AGM statement yesterday and WPP this week, its looking good ahead of a bumper Summer !! | ivanborsky
08/6/2021 07:48 | And its as irrelevant as it was last night and the other 99% of the time. | stansmith3
08/6/2021 07:41 | I think you are at the wind up to be honest. But taking you at your word...Please explain how a ten million volume daily market trades at a discount to a 100000 (or less) daily market? Volume that is less than a single trade on the main market.Every one else seems to understand this Nige and as I now suspect you do too, but for other reasons are causing discourse for your personal pleasure. | stansmith3
08/6/2021 07:20 | ADR's closed @ $19.25 UK equivalent price is 136p. ITV current price 131.45p. Just pointing out that the UK price is trading at a discount to the USA ADR share price. | nige co
08/6/2021 07:01 | Changing ignorant troll to life is too short will not improve your grade.Sorry. | stansmith3
08/6/2021 07:00 | Aw, does hades think he can troll people without reply?Or do you not like facts being pointed out?You would think someone with your -education - would appreciate that.I give you a grade F for trolling me. | stansmith3
08/6/2021 06:51 | Filtered - life’s too short | hades1
07/6/2021 22:58 | Jog on troll, if I wish to point out that the entire volume in the USA is irrelevant that is what I will do. You are free to filter, although you claimed to do that before, so are you just looking for an argument? Re: Your post on BT board earlier - I should know as I wrote my dissertation on it - I got a high grade! - You mentioned child like behaviour, not me. Lol. Where do you start with something like that.... | stansmith3
07/6/2021 22:29 | Grow up. You are behaving like a child yet again. | hades1 |
