Robert Peston is a genius!
He was absolutely right with his predictions concerning the consequences of Boris’s Brexit - No doubt Boris will soon be looking to blame that on his advisor?
Robert is a top class economist, writer and a real asset for ITV.

Agree regarding Peston, its painful listening to him.

Will they allow this to drift up again tomorrow or will it be manipulated back down again?

I remain optimistic of this being taken over in the coming weeks at +50% premium so 200p will be fine by me :-)

Failing that I'll take the increases in advertising revenue. All they need do next is rid ITV of overpaid deadwood like Robert Peston and a few dozen of miserable doom mongering news readers and reporters!

Pre-negotiated non-orderbook Ordinary Trade - same thing I understand.
Probably transacted this morning?

Incidentally 100k overhang at 130p still there from opening auction as last week.

I thought something would be happening this afternoon, judging by the 'silence' in the market this morning. The trade has been flagged 'ECEU' by the LSE.

Speculation about ITV's future is as topical today as it was 10 years ago. Media is a sector in vogue at the moment and ITV's fortunes are improving. Better to focus on the fundamentals and the rest is a bonus.

Mattisian2, I think that there is a chance that someone will split ITV up, keep what they want and sell the rest.

I can’t see it being a streamer, why are they going to buy into a traditional broadcaster/advertising business and have to manage that. If it is content, they can just licence any they want from itv or commission new stuff from itv studios.

Large streamers need content, ITV have plenty of it. Sitting duck springs to mind. I don't know when, but sooner or later ITV will be swallowed up by someone. The patient ITV investor will be rewarded. Slowly, slowly, catchy monkey.

That’s an interesting question?
ADRs have calmed down.
Industry gossip is that ad revenues are rolling in with June up over 100% and May not far behind but nothing being said outside - All very quiet unlike earlier this year.
Time will tell but in my view sooner rather than later.

This is an unsponsored ADR. Someone is creating and destroying ADRs and is taking the risk that ADRs sold in the US will need to get funded by stock purchased in UK at a higher price. ADRs like this will never be a Lon price x Exchange rate.

That isn't the trading spread that is the quote - that is the market maker protecting himself
They are quoting 100/200 but when they see the order 148/152 or even 190/192 - hence why some days advfn shows 100% buys or sells

Is there a pound dollar equation here too? Or are the ADRs always in pounds?

If the ADRs are in dollars and the market assumes dollar is rising against the pound
then you possibly would expect US ADRs to be at a premium.

Agreed Stan. Interestingly that the ADR's are always trading at a large premium to the LSE price. Has the USA realised regarding the recent very high volume of shares traded and acting accordingly to a possible bid in the pipeline, while the UK is asleep at the wheel?
