08/2/2021 11:41 | ITV share price looking good at the moment for a breakout, above 112p would be nice. | nige co
08/2/2021 11:12 | You can rely on it piedpiper2. It was confirmed on here by Ivan after he read a confirmation on the LSE board, that he wrote under his other avatar. Best stick with confirmations from reliable sources. | alex1621
07/2/2021 14:31 | Today’s MOS | hades1
05/2/2021 19:49 | Appreciate the info, thanks | piedpiper2
05/2/2021 19:40 | Hi Piper, most definitely. Unfortunately for us private investors (the lowest of the food chain) we don't get to see what really is happening out there amongst the devious trickery and 'cloak and dagger' tactics with these hedge funds and GS. You just have to look at the whole of last years movement in ITV shares, especially those weeks ending in August and beginning of September. Back then all the ITV short positions were closed in the market and no notification from Marshalls. I wouldn't hold your breath here but if ITV do retreat back to a £1.00 say, then I'm yeat again for a few more. Its a no-brainer !!!! | ivanborsky
05/2/2021 18:00 | Has Marshalls closed their short Ivan? Short tracker still showing 0.70% | piedpiper2
05/2/2021 16:41 | Its been a cracking week team. We've seen off both GS and Marshalls, I mentioned £1.10 would take a few goes before its cleared for good and next week we could see just that ! Have a great weekend all. Onwards and upwards !!! | ivanborsky
05/2/2021 15:33 | yeah 61.8% fibo level is 115 approx. i dont follow the technicals solely but looks quite likely to breakout now | investing2retire
05/2/2021 15:17 | Thanks Jacko, I hope you're right mate. | nige co
05/2/2021 14:59 | Nige..there are some broker forecasts due on ITV, it will be interesting. Although ad revenues are down, they are not as bad as expected. If and when they do break 112p the next stop is 124p, we may see ITV at 150p sooner than expected. There seems to be a fair amount of positive news breaking daily. | jacko07
05/2/2021 14:43 | Yawn. Still needs more than this to be a break out. | netcurtains
05/2/2021 13:54 | Once ITV gets through 110p we may see some upside. Any chartists out there? | nige co
05/2/2021 09:42 | Its interesting re charts. The pub chain Micthells & Butler has got past that little notch on the fall in March. Whereas ITV is still well below it. You would have thought ITV would recover its price faster than pubs (and buses etc) Compare this chart to ITV.. Weird If we were a pub we'd be over £1.20 now.... | netcurtains
04/2/2021 22:57 | dont worry about my troll, hes thick and harmless | stansmith3
04/2/2021 19:04 | No RNS due tomorrow | hades1
04/2/2021 18:10 | Quarterly RNS tomorrow? | hamhamham1
04/2/2021 15:03 | I have no charts. I'm not a chartist. I only have a tiny number of ITV shares to keep my hand in. I'm getting bigger in retail and ITV together. But very slowly. | netcurtains
04/2/2021 14:48 | netthe fall /shock/ no end in sightis nothing like the funny money recovery/mutation/va | stansmith3
04/2/2021 14:40 | The news flow on Covid-19 is more negative than anyone anticipated, and it's unlikely we'll be out of lockdown any time soon. We've dodged the no deal Brexit bullet and just need to get out of this Corona funk ... I suspect UK domestics will climb violently over a few days when that becomes clear. Then it's down to results going forward. | alex1621
04/2/2021 10:41 | TT: I can read the chart as well as the next man. In nearly ALL UK stocks in the "big fall" in feb/march last year there is a little notch (tick up) about 1/3 down from the 2019 top and 2020 bottom. Nearly all stocks are struggling to get past that little notch.... But some DO make it and I would have thought ITV should be one of those stocks | netcurtains
04/2/2021 10:28 | Downward spiral 😂 Lol. What chart you looking at? Most of the market is off from early January highs. | trikytree
04/2/2021 10:21 | Do we know why ITV seems to be on a bit of a downward spiral? You would think, with lcokdown ending soon ITV would be about the biggest winner you could think of. The recovery will be all about ADVERTISING and new online content. Am I missing something? | netcurtains
04/2/2021 10:20 | hades1: Will they reinstate the dividend for 2021 and even pay a 2020 dividend? Could provide a much needed boost to final 2020 results in early March. On dividends, the latest news I can find from the company is this remark in the interim accounts to 30 June 2020: "...intention to pay 8p for the full year 2020 withdrawn..." So as it stands, unless they change their mind which is unlikely, no payment can be expected for 2020 when the final accounts are published. As for 2021, it's just unknown at present and I hope they will issue some guidance with the 2020 acccounts. Be disappointing if they announce no divis for 21 though, especially for me as an income investor. | anhar |
