Do we know what the TURNOVER or Paramounts Hollywood studio is?

(this figure will give as a clue as to how much ITV studios are worth)

I think (not sure) that the MAX the studio revenue can be is about £3B.......
(but difficult to say as so much is rolled into one figure in their accounts)

Feeling the love here this morning.

Disappointing reaction stock price side to the Paramount news.

"Apollo offers $11 billion for Paramount's Hollywood studio, source says"

I guess takeover deals in TV studios in USA is having a positive affect as well as rise in US shares last night and of course the buyback...

Triple whammy I guess.

So Matthew is knocking on 60 but posting childish messages on Internet message boards. Weird that.

Amazing how people resort to crèche behaviour when you correct them. A few in here.

lol!

But it does underline once again the value of TV Studios - and the value of content!

I’m sure all parties concerned are fully aware of ITV or more specifically ITV Studios America…

Corby I hate to break it to you , but market makers don’t have margin calls.

MatthewR Semantics, I guess that someone as large as your late employer Merrill Lynch or whoever you worked for, are a big bank. Big Banks and Financial Institutions are mrket makers, they also trade in derivatives, swaps, all sorts of financial instruments.

This won’t be the case every day , however in general I think ITV will underperform before 2:30 , then outperform. Why?
The buyback only becomes active when there’s volume. Typically 2/3rds of daily volume (including the uncrossing) happens with the US holding our hand , ie after 2:30. So before 2:30 thin volume means little buyback action but after 2:30 it can buy (passively) up to 25% of the order book volume and therefore put some mild upward pressure on the share price. Now clearly there will be days when the US has a wobble and takes everything down , but I would say on average for the next year , buy ITV in the morning , and sell it in the afternoon. Imho
