I do think a Linde buyout is a likely scenario, but I hope the share price recovers abit more before any approach.

Any idea when ITM are moving to Germany 😁

Today, Shell is launching Hydrogen Pay-Per-Use, an affordable way for the heavy-duty mobility sector to explore hydrogen as a fuel.

Customers get exclusive use of hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) for a monthly fee. This makes it easier for customers to explore transitioning their fleet to hydrogen-fuelled trucks with reduced investment, complexity and risk.

This provides an alternative transport solution to keep your goods moving.

For a monthly fee, the hydrogen truck and refuelling solution offers:

💧 Transport: Hydrogen-powered vehicles produce water vapour as a tailpipe emission.

🛣 Great range: Hydrogen’s high energy density gives trucks great range. In fact, they can travel up to 450km between refuelling, depending on usage.

🚚 Truck use: Customers can get exclusive use of a 15-ton Mercedes-Benz AG Atego fuel cell electric vehicle, removing the need for a large upfront investment.

✅ Insurance: Fully comprehensive driver and vehicle insurance is provided to reduce operational risk.

🔜 Speedy refuelling: You can refuel a hydrogen truck in around 15 minutes.

👷♀A039; Maintenance and support: Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance is available as needed, reducing operational and performance risks, as well as 24/7 customer support.

The service will be available in Germany from August 2023. To learn more about Shell Hydrogen, make sure to follow us.

Chile's green hydrogen 'mega challenge'.

"Siemens CEO Roland Busch was upbeat on Chile's green hydrogen prospects, citing state backing for sector development but said speed was of the essence along with the need to push hard for private capital given the country's relatively limited subsidy firepower."

"Economy minister Nicolás Grau said Chile needed to balance maintaining its green hydrogen industry "pole position" with planning to ensure the nation obtains as many benefits as possible from investment."

"Under a green hydrogen production strategy, Chile is aiming to have 5GW of electrolysis capacity built and under development by 2025 and 25GW by 2030. An associated green hydrogen roadmap, designed to help transition projects from drawing board to construction, is due this half."

Interesting new vacancy.

As ITM Power are now moving into an exciting phase of large-scale development with multiple discipline engineering construction projects, we are recruiting for a skilled Senior Project Manager to co-ordinate multiple large-scale projects from tender to sign off. This will include liaising with customers, project partners, grant bodies, suppliers and sub-contractors. The length and value of projects will vary but typically 12 to 36 months. This role will expect you to travel within the UK and Europe. There may be the occasion where travel further field may be required.

Carbon capture 🤥

Will the carbon capture and storage projects announced today help deal with the emissions from the hundreds of new licences for oil and gas the government plans to issue?

The simple answer is no.

Carbon capture and storage is an emerging industry. There are only about 40 commercial operations globally, according to the International Energy Agency.

The investment the government has announced today - and for two other projects in England earlier this year - is designed to kickstart the industry in the UK.

It will be many years before it is capable of trapping planet-warming carbon dioxide on a large scale.

And there are questions about how it will be funded in the future.

Capturing and storing CO2 represents a significant additional cost. Why would businesses incur it unless the government obliges them to?

If as I hope the German hub is a stepping stone to move operations there as if the UK continues to ignore home grown technology then the move should be considered

Tory government has never encouraged green energy and not out any serious money in developing it. What they ain’t got they won’t miss and if Labour doesn’t change that the uk will continue to be held to ransom by oil and gas companies.

Government money was always the key to growth here, cut backs will have a massive impact on the S/P as the graphs are showing, unlike the rampers the graphs don’t lie !!!
