16/6/2012 11:48 | Aye , my wife saw Led Zep at Earls Court in 1975 ...she still has the ticket stub which I think showed the cost of £2.75 or so ...quite amazing ! She remembers Page using a violin bow on the strings of his Gibson...much as to this day she adores Led Zep , that sound still haunts her .... Page copied that from a Band called Creation ( I think)) who used one on a song called Painterman which is still an all time fave of mine... I was/am a great Who fan ..can't remember the number of times that I saw them live ...The Regal, Edmonton with Spencer Davis , Finsbury Park Astoria ... performing Tommy & the then the Orchestrated version ... I don't know if I dare admit to this but even saw Gary Glitter & The Glitter Band at the same venue ...don't times change? | ![]() ignoble | |
