09/4/2024 10:45 | Should be away across water, dates yet to be set, but around then. They will probably put it on the web? | p1nkfish
09/4/2024 10:24 | The AGM should be around 16th May. Perhaps they will take questions. Have you considered attending pf? | w13ken
09/4/2024 09:23 | I think it's impossible to bang the drum loud enough or often enough when it comes to gaining some momentum in Utility adoption. They are glacial. | p1nkfish
09/4/2024 09:20 | Good to see IQGEO in the US coming out to preach. Need more of this in Europe too. Stir the pot, highlight & stress the compelling reasons for change and then point to the solution that will help achieve the change needed following the best avialable path - Adaptive Grid. | p1nkfish
05/4/2024 09:14 | If there is inflation hedging on renewals that is one less thing to be concerned about especially if the renewal is low touch without much expenditure associated with it - there would have probably been costs associated with the win originally that reduce after year 1 = higher margin for that renewal. | p1nkfish
05/4/2024 08:58 | Hard to predict but I do expect a fair few will have booked profits and offset losses and then be looking where to allocate any new funds - TBD. The Grid light is hidden under the bushel. Probably not glowing brightly yet anyway but I suspect it will over time so being a seller here, even if highly valued, doesn't look very clever unless there is another good reason for the individual that does sell. | p1nkfish
05/4/2024 08:49 | Nice detective work pf 👏 Customers will be sticky once they're locked in to IQGeo. The share price has recovered a bit today, which is against the grain. It's the last day of the Financial year so I imagine we'll have more buying again next week. | w13ken
05/4/2024 06:18 | What looks like some proof of inflation protection. WAPA (US Western Area Power Authority) is due for renewal in May. Small number but none the less an automatic compensation for inflation. May 2024 = $265,193 May 2025 = $290,265 9.45% increase on a renewal. Google: OSDBU Acquisition Forecast_April 2024-2.xlsx If that type of increase occurs elsewhere it offers some protection for what is a light touch software renewal. | p1nkfish
04/4/2024 18:02 | Keep it as lean as allows them to deliver the growth but no leaner. Op-ex and cap-ex tightly controlled. IQGEO will need to stand out in the AIM as competition for investment $ is going to become even more intense across all markets. Even some old boring companies that have been dead in the water, but now adopt the right new tools properly to boost productivity, will compete for $ and gain attention as their op-ex falls. Have been looking for some that could really be perked up on the adoption of AI especially if they also manage to gain growth in top line as well as reduced op-ex. One reason why having more than Fiber as a string on the bow will be needed no matter how long IQGEO say the Fiber runway is. They have to compete for investment. | p1nkfish
04/4/2024 14:48 | Interesting new track: Get partners qualified to a high standard so that IQGeo remain a leanly staffed company focusing more on software development & sales than software support. | w13ken
04/4/2024 09:09 | I'm the eternal optimist on IQGeo but agree we can't get through to mid-July's Half-year TU above 400p without some major sales wins. | w13ken
04/4/2024 08:12 | Little buying support at these levels so depending on who wants to get out, at what volume and by when, we might see a sub £4 price and possibly mid £3's. End of tax year doesn't help as some of this is probably profit booking to offset against losses elsewhere. Clearer picture should be available by mid year when churn subsides and it all settles down to boring again and excitement seekers have moved on too. | p1nkfish
29/3/2024 04:53 | Would like to see some sign they are taking Grid as seriously as Fiber as it is the area that can help multiply the size of the company and run for 25 years. Mostly it's fiber, fiber fiber........ | p1nkfish
29/3/2024 04:24 | Tried getting my head around NATIONAL GRID in US and UK. Too complex. They have a wide toolkit of software all the way to Snowflake. If anyone finds an inkling of a suggestion they have any IQGEO interest please post. They must spend a fortune keeping on top of all the different packages and making sure they all play nice together. | p1nkfish
28/3/2024 16:14 | Good post W13. Planets have certainly aligned as Petti said. Travelling abroad at mo and was catching up on reading on flights - even water might have a chance to start to contribute that has been the poor relation. Big problem with US burst water mains, one every 2 minutes somewhere in the US. There were some concerns US infrastructure updates might be rolled back if Trump becomes President but he might even borrow and spend more. Agreements for the spending were largely bipartisan so few worries there. UK, via National Grid, also joining the party and looking for people to pull software capabilities together. If IQGEO can just get some traction in their own back garden........ | p1nkfish
28/3/2024 15:29 | There's a slight pullback today, which is almost inevitable given the recent rapid rise, but there's certainly no collapse. I expect we now have a number of II's that would jump in if prices drop. There are now no scheduled updates until mid-July's Half-year Trading update so a few big sales in the next quarter would be most welcome. Here's Steve Tongish's summary of the FTTH Conference in Berlin last week. I had no idea that 3000+ attended so that makes it all the more strategically significant that IQGeo's Raf Meersman is the current president. | w13ken
26/3/2024 22:24 | If they do look to acquire some workforce management capabilities it's very hard to predict who it might be as there are so many. One thing, it appears that if such software is already targeted at utilities it's probably not cheap. It may be better to buy capabilities that can be customised for utilities but originally aimed at another market to buy cheaper and then increase the value. Some smaller below. UK based - looks useful - debts!! UK based - could be optimised. UK based - £1.6M equity, Utility useage possible??? Geocall by OverIT - utility focused and integrates with various utility-specific syustems. Probably expensive to acquire. Bain Capital and Renaissance control. | p1nkfish
25/3/2024 14:02 | Very surprised by price action today, up on very decent increase in 3 month average daily volume after recent increases too. Results and IMC may account for it but 409K approx by 2pm Vs 159K for an average full day and up 6%. Looks like more than just PI's. How long before a predator decides to move and see what they can pick this up for? Kestrel won't let go cheaply and hold more than enough to block with just a few extra holders on their side. Perhaps the £5 Cavendish target on "conservative" projections is about right. The Cavendish note suggests the op-ex growth will moderate this and next year as the team and cost base is near that needed to achieve targets set. More to flow through to bottom line, proving the operational gearing. The whole set-up will attract institutional interest as it's past the very risky phase and stands on its own two feet with top and bottom line growth and a big market to address. | p1nkfish
25/3/2024 13:38 | Makes a great deal of sense to integrate workforce management if they can find a sensibly priced capability to bolt-on. Notice Grid should be much larger than Fiber and we haven't seen full impact yet by a long, long, way. Still relatively early days. | p1nkfish
25/3/2024 13:31 | A link from simply wall Street that does look legit. They had the Sansom holding % right after he sold, others still don't. That suggested the numbers were up to date. Sansom sold to let institution in, whomever it was had less than 3% as didn't declare and I think more than one so his sale was split. Will look to post list less than 3% later all being well. | p1nkfish
25/3/2024 13:11 | Thanks for the reply pf, I can now see how that would make sense as an acquisition. Where did you see JP Morgan as a sub-3% holder? That could be big. I see Ameriprise has reduced again, but all very orderly and the market is absorbing these reductions by some major holders with no problem. Good to bring in an additional group of IIs...all makes for an even stronger shareholder register. | horseyphil
25/3/2024 12:31 | Expecting any large holder, wanting to reduce as value of their holding goes up, to find buyers in the list holding below 3%. Some good names there and they don't have to declare until they reach the limit. | p1nkfish
25/3/2024 12:21 | Someone is willing to pay up at reasonable volume at 436p. JP Morgan are a small holder below 3%, not noticed them in the past. | p1nkfish
25/3/2024 12:04 | hp, too many to be specific. I would expect them to have some steer from customers and what they already use and what features could be enhancements on what they already use. Very many workforce management tools out there. Becomes interesting as routing workforce for minimal truck rolls, maximum safety and best efficiency (quick rectification post "event" & quicker personnel response in general) is where some simpler AI and ML could add value. Anything along the lines of GIS for utility roll-out etc is probably highly priced currently but I suspect some sensible valuations in workforce management are available that would have increased value if integrated into IQGEO. A quick way to increase the multiple of the acquired company and offer an add-on module. May even be able to pick one thing up at a sensible price. Makes sense. Also useful for external contractor employment with BYOD etc. | p1nkfish |
