11/3/2024 10:02 | IQGeo have got the Oscars buzz and have given the Hollywood treatment to their new video. This will be showing at the Meet Ups and conferences this year. Full Year results due about 28th March. Should be a great transformational year with the way that IQGeo have repositioned themselves to offer an expanded toolset to more industries in a wider global market. IQGeo’s Meetup events in 2024. 09/3/2024 08:50 | Not a bad idea if they became more active on Energy Central. Zero references to IQGEO so far in 2024. Bentley active recently. Were 8 references in 2023. | p1nkfish
08/3/2024 08:38 | Has taken a while for Ameriprise to report their January sale of between 1.3%-1.4%. Sale was absorbed well. Audited results and forward look should be within 3 weeks. This is one of my holdings that gives exposure to multiple growth themes in terms of segments addressed and geographies. Software. ARR, Telecom, Energy Distribution, Global (inc fast urbanising Asia inc India), Developed Infrastructure needing upgrades (Greening of the Grid, DER, resilience), New Infrastructure, Industrial Mobility, IoT, Worker Safety, Recovery from Natural Disaster (climate), Smart Cities etc. etc. A strong hold for the patient so long as management dont screw up. The markets addressed are spread and diverse with substantial funding heading their way over years. The single point of potential failure is MANAGEMENT of the opportunity. | p1nkfish

05/3/2024 09:31 | I agree pf. You've mentioned a few larger Indian companies above but there are so many new startups in fibre rollouts globally. One of IQGeo's biggest successes has been with Brightspeed who were only formed in Aug 2022. Since then the Editions software options have been introduced, easing in growing companies that will upgrade as they expand. For startups with no legacy GIS concerns, IQGeo's network mgmt suite is head and shoulders above competitors. That definitely bodes well for the future. | w13ken
05/3/2024 09:16 | IQG is highly rated and the price may look stretched, however, if they execute going forward as well as they have in the past 3-5 years this has a really excellent runway. By the time that becomes apparent to the market it won't be at < 250M market cap but much higher. One of the most exciting s/w small caps in the UK with a massive opportunity to exploit. I have studied the market, this is not a ramp. DYOR etc. | p1nkfish
05/3/2024 07:23 | Where is higher mobile GIS growth likely to be between USA or India in the next 5 years? Probably India. Co-pilot again, references are solid. "According to various sources¹²³⁴, the global mobile GIS market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 7.5% to 12.2% between 2021 and 2030. The major factors driving this growth are the increasing adoption of cloud-based GIS, the rising demand for location-based services, the growing need for spatial data in various industries, and the advancement of mobile devices and networks. Among the two countries, India is likely to witness a higher growth rate for mobile GIS for utilities in the next five years. This is because India has a large and growing population, a rapidly developing economy, a huge potential for renewable energy, and a need for modernizing its power infrastructure. Moreover, India has a strong geospatial industry, with several domestic and international players offering mobile GIS solutions for the power sector. The Indian geospatial market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 13.3% to 13.6% between 2021 and 2028, reaching ₹23,200 crore by 2025³⁴. Therefore, India offers a lucrative opportunity for mobile GIS for utilities in the near future. 05/3/2024 07:04 | Post 1837 - who do those companies use as subcontractors too? Given the size of the country, rate of development and population, finding key players to influence is critical. The growth potential is massive. | p1nkfish
05/3/2024 06:58 | "When considering mobile Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for Indian utilities, especially with a focus on grid recovery from outages and natural disasters, several key utility companies come to mind. These companies can benefit significantly from modern GIS solutions: Tata Power: As one of India’s largest integrated power companies, Tata Power operates across generation, transmission, distribution, and renewable energy. Their extensive network requires robust GIS tools for efficient asset management, outage response, and disaster recovery. Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL): PGCIL is responsible for the country’s interstate transmission of electricity. Their vast transmission network demands real-time monitoring, predictive analytics, and outage management. Mobile GIS can enhance their grid resilience and response capabilities. NTPC Limited: NTPC is a major thermal power company in India. Mobile GIS can help them optimize maintenance schedules, track assets, and respond swiftly during outages or natural disasters. Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL): BHEL manufactures power equipment and provides engineering services. Implementing mobile GIS can improve their field operations, outage management, and disaster recovery processes. State Electricity Boards (SEBs): Each state has its SEB responsible for distribution. Mobile GIS can empower SEBs to visualize their networks, monitor substations, and efficiently restore power after disruptions. Reliance Infrastructure: With interests in power distribution and infrastructure, Reliance Infrastructure can benefit from mobile GIS for outage management, preventive maintenance, and disaster response. Adani Power: Adani Power operates thermal and renewable power plants. Mobile GIS can enhance their situational awareness during outages and streamline recovery efforts. Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL): MSEDCL serves millions of consumers in Maharashtra. Mobile GIS can aid in outage detection, asset tracking, and disaster recovery planning. Delhi Transco Limited (DTL): DTL manages the transmission network in Delhi. Mobile GIS can help them quickly identify faults, assess damage, and restore power during emergencies. Smart Cities and Municipal Corporations: As India embraces smart cities, municipal utilities can leverage mobile GIS for efficient utility management, disaster preparedness, and recovery. Remember that successful adoption of mobile GIS requires collaboration between utility companies, technology providers, and regulatory bodies. By integrating location intelligence, these companies can enhance grid resilience, minimize downtime, and improve overall service delivery" Thank you to co-pilot. | p1nkfish
05/3/2024 06:53 | Market potential in India for Grid is absolutely massive. They need IQGEO type capabilities. If I was running APAC it would be a priority to address it at the highest possible level because one platform could tick so many boxes for all concerned. Some of the data is old out of the Workd Bank but large swathes of green field opportunity. 2023 | p1nkfish
04/3/2024 15:26 | IQGeo are new entrants in the Global Top 100 Geospatial Companies. That may sound like a modest achievement but the list includes global giants such as Microsoft, Meta & Bentley. | w13ken
03/3/2024 11:37 | UK has some interesting small companies that are relatively ignored and bombed-out but able to exploit the FTTH growth. Potentially very useful for the patient investor with some tolerance for risk. 1) Proliferation of new media sources, broadcasters, each needing IP capability to launch and manage their content including remote and cloud management. 2) Advertising market for ads over IPTV - needs management and measurement for return on investment. Control of personalised ads by channel and profile of the recipient. IQGEO helps roll-out the network and the others see increased demand as a consequence. DYOR etc. | p1nkfish
03/3/2024 11:02 | Growth runway matters and IQGEO have a long one especially if they can just get traction in Grid --- growth potential for 10+ years underpinned by increasing recurring revenue as the networks need maintenance and management. DYOR etc etc. There is no modern Communications Networks without an Energy Network. | p1nkfish
28/2/2024 11:50 | That new APAC Sales VP role makes sense now and that Malaysia role was not just a one-off. Should be much more to come from the region. 22/2/2024 12:27 | I'm very pleasantly surprised by the support and resilience at this trading range. IQGeo are in the watchlists of many new investors this year so a big win or two and 400p should be behind us. | w13ken
22/2/2024 10:01 | Really need to get through the previous high though else in a trading range - wouldn't be a surprise for that to be the case for a while after such substantial rises. | p1nkfish |
