For those that speculate on IQE's future listing, could this be it?

UK to launch 'groundbreaking' China stock market link

Crazy?
Well.. given the sector, their markets and sites, it would likely be well received, though I'm guessing, FTSE 100/350 will be first in line.

The shorting history at IQE makes for interesting reading. Its current disclosed level of 8.59% is below where we were for much of 2018. Since May this year, the total has increased just 0.04% due to Blackrock nudging from 0.48% to 0.52%. However, between about March 2015 and July 2017, the total short % remained remarkably steady - & MUCH lower than it is now - at around 1.3%. For most of that time, the share price was sub 50p, climbing to around where it is now by about July 2017. So I guess the conclusion - perhaps not surprisingly - is that any significant share price rise is likely to be accompanied by an increase in the total short position. Maybe this just underlines the historic lack of future earnings visibilty. Something which hopefully the new CFO and other appointees will address.

The total short position has increased by 0.52%. That looks worse than it is.
Blackrock was at 0.48%, which is below the 0.5% so not included in total shorts.
Blackrock has only increased 0.04% to 0.52%, all of which is now in the total.

The RNS which I think you are probably referring to was on 2.5.19, so a few weeks

have passed, not months, of which you are most likely aware, so would expect

Squirrels are a bit like IQE investors, looking to the future. I have found a number of walnuts sprouting in numerous pots and borders as I plant out bedding plants. They are obviously planning for future generations.

Squirrels used to detach the peanut feeder I hung from the metal feeding "tree" and empty it out on the ground for faster feeding.
To deter them, I now hang it near the centre of the "branch" with a seed feeder on the end of the arm to make it more difficult.
Somehow or other they still manage to get the peanut feeder off the arm without removing the seed feeder.
It seems impossible to me. I can't do it myself. I need to film them to see what magic they use.

I now gather that 3% is a compulsory trigger point for notifying any shareholding. So KIA could have built up to their current level over a long period, rather than in one go.

Agreed, the delay in notifying this holding (between March & June) looks odd. To me, the notification reads like a new acquisition of 3% in one go, rather than exceeding a previous lower % threshold. No previous shareholding is mentioned, which would otherwise normally be referred to in a notification of this sort. But I could be wrong.
