Great posts from Doc1975, suffernofools and Belt n braces today. Keep them coming chaps.

Manipulation seems to be the buzz word today and I'll go along with that.

I note that whilst IQE is down 5p to 97.3p as I write, the "Wouldn't touch it with a bargepole" share, namely VRS is up 2p to 124p. Whether you classify the latter as a tech share [ref. the supposed tech share sell-off],I do not know.

If we are down a mere 4p at close-of-play, it may be classified as "a good day at the office".

Just been to my local chippy, 'The Town Frier' - 'Cheap As Chips at 185p' it said on the menu. Where have I heard that before?

PS What's happened to 'you know who'?

My short position in the Dow is well offside at the moment but it is only a matter of time I think before it joins the FANGS.

So I log back in after a few days to see if the BB has returned to its previous good quality self, but alas no, our resident whinger is still here clogging it up with the same misinformed drivel and conspiracy nonsense. I'll try again in a few week weeks. I thought with age came wisdom? Reminds me of the loud bore you often get in a restaurant who believes everyone needs to hear their conversation *sigh*

This will hit back to 102-104p level in no time again. Pass the ball game is on between. T rowe will not let it go below 100p for too long and Marshalls will close as they have been doing. Dow Jones up. H2 is always favourable for Semis. So sit tight or buy more at low levels.

I think your comment is a bit harsh.

Part of due diligence is reading analysts reports and some were very detailed indeed I remember. They are paid vast sums to do due diligence on behalf of investors and most have price targets in the 180-220 range..so did they not do due diligence.

We are entitled to rely on advice from solicitors, accountants, surveyors etc but not seemingly from analysts.

Why do they exist then. It would be more useful seemingly if they did something useful like picking up litter for their vast pay packets.

Retest of previous lows circa 90p could be a good buy in point... personally holding out for 10p lower still.

Hand line mackerel fishermen in North East of Scotland were getting £ 180 per box recently, today I believe £25 per box (the fishermen are complaining). Is this not how a market works? Supply and demand?

I am astonished that anyone would think we are near the end of a very long bull market. The FTSE is up less than 10% in 18 years. You would expect several hundred percent in a very long bull market.
