After I burst into song, pleading for 'Help' in the form of a cash injection [see post 16638 - Johnny Cash]I was 'rewarded' with a 3p rise in the share price which was most welcome.

Pure coincidence of course, but I would just like to say:

“Anyone thinking that anything I say or comment on moves markets are frankly delusional."

I'm sure that no-one will disagree with that. Lol!

From the Edison Note of Sept 2017

' Noting that H218 demand was
likely to be higher than it had initially anticipated, in July 2017 management announced a capacity
expansion plan sufficient to support an estimated £250m of annual revenues by FY19.'

Sheep did express a bit of disappointment at the speed at which we were installing machines. Perhaps the management anticipated a slight slowdown before the H2 megaramp up. Alternatively, it may be that the slowdown isn't an issue for us as given the shortage of wafers our clients will be willing to hold until they are deployed. It all seems like short term noise which at worst will have short term impact

Michaeljames1 re Stockopedia,

The Nakedtrader has the following link for a 25% discount & 14 day free trial.

I find it very useful & would definitely recommend it.

The last time we broke 100p it was based on fake news. Now this level is being tested based on rumours iPhone X sales will be down in H1. The question is whether IQE are flat out producing VCSEL's or whether they are holding back and waiting for H2. If you think they are holding back, then this will come out in the H1 figures and he might want to short them. If you believe they are still flat out, like myself then the current share price represents an excellent opportunity for short to medium term gain.

IIRC stockopedia had a 1 month? trial period back in January.
Without signing up at the time, my impression was that it was a handy tool to list co's for a given search/selection criteria.
Once co's selected, I am not aware it offers any data/insight to co's that we don't already have via PRS and usual daily news media sources.

When I started 5 years ago, I produced a list of all co's with credible track record/management to form my "watch list", number crunching via a spreadsheet I built up and use to this day.

As stockpopedia seemingly only provides this "watch list" I already have and no extra info, I felt it wasn't worth spending time on, but like you michaeljames1, interested to hear usefulness from others.

Mention of trial period here:

with usual "sticky fingers" clause, that would make me apprehensive they would stick to deal without spending hours on phone arguing when they process cancelled subscription - as I have experienced with other co's.

I like Stocko, but the value it gives depends upon understanding how the stock ranks work and also your discipline. When I got it, I saw GFM was top ranked share and went and bought some. It has since more than doubled.

they had a discount which worked out at £3 week a few months ago for UK shares, if you cannot get it, it might be worth just waiting it out until they offer a discount again. Black Friday. They seem quite rigid over discounts.
