Topped up, because I agree any issues that relate to IQE are short term or mostly irrelevant for the upcoming ramp. I still believe the share price will be £2+ by spring next year. If we dip below £1, I will be buying further. GLTALTH

Presumably this slowdown in orders of the iphone X plus sensor part is due to APPL needing more time in writing their algorithm into the device chip......the ECU VCSEL (the brain box) in the sensor circuitry ?
That being so no wonder everyone is topping up !

The share price increased significantly yesterday, so the trend started to reverse, the AMS slowdown spooked the share price this morning. However AMS do stress second half they will be full steam ahead, All we need now is Apple giving us a clue on the 1st of there forward looking plans & we do know 3 new phones are most probably replacing the X . So this is a vey temporary dip imho.

I would suspect that the specification of the epi wafer will remain unchanged. And, I would guess that, given the shortages, Apple will take all the VCSEL epi wafers that IQE can produce.

So short to medium term I don't think th downstream disruption at AMS will have an impact on IQE. The market, it seems, has a different view?

Bear in mind, it is all, to some extent, guesswork and I could be wrong..

Well crunk, I don't really understand charting, but I would never dismiss it as a COMPLETE WASTE OF SPACE. Did the OUTLOOK turn out to be a cracker? I can't remember.

Cityfibre Infrastructure up 90% today on a takeover bid.

There is little doubt that one day the same will happen to IQE.

IQE 108.40p -9.50p

Late yesterday results from AMS on the same sector back on the US were not well received.
The marked down this morning could be taken as overdone at this point.
The Intraday chart has signs of an INVERTED HEAD and SHOULDERS forming if breaking up from 109p should get a bounce back.

I was struggling to see any real life relevance of the AMS Q2 weakness to IQE given their Q1 and expected H2 strength.
