BT are about to upgrade their network from 40/50/80, to include 150 and 330mbs fibre-to-the-cabinet, if you can imagine what that will do to data centre traffic (one of IQEs core markets) as well as the boom in 4K UHD TV streaming...

zho - awesome read there, thanks for that. It really is great for IQE, supply shortages can effect Apple share price in the short term as sales might not be as high for the quarter as previous years but to know that there is a backlog of people waiting to get there hands on the device is great news. Just knowing IQE's product is in this device is great news!! And for other manufacturers to follow suit to replicate the new baseline for mobile devices using FaceID, more revenue for IQE, it's all ++ for IQE. The next 12 months is going to be very exciting for IQE share holders. 165p at least by year end I think and it wouldn't surprise me if we hit 200p before Jan.

Another great British tech company!!

Paragraf are a 'graphene' play
Given the IQE CEO's stated negative attitude towards graphene, stated at this years AGM , I think the likelihood of any interaction here is ......zero

Nov1 and 2 :-)

Reading all posts about the iPhone X it seems that every single phone made is going to be sold in the next 6 months. Pretty good

WorldQuant again reduced its short position, second day on the trot on 20 October by 0.08%. It's now only 0.56% short.

It purchased shares on a day of 6.586m trading volume and the price was down 3.5p!!

Interesting to see if it bought any more yesterday and whether that accounted for the rise of 7.2p

As a fundamentalist, I've never been one for charting to forecast price movement, but the contribution from Fingers - if it pans out - helps immensely. Thanks for the clear and concise explanation, if nothing else this supports my decision to invest and to add to my current wedge. I do like a reasoned, well balanced argument and discussion, something that the DB on iii is sometimes sadly lacking.

thanks malreid,
Yes its impossible to say what to long or short as its all relative and if old people are getting richer then the only hobby many of them can do is play on the stock market.

This means, generally speaking shares prices should rise - until the old get poorer or fitter.
