Slightly off topic..
Well 12th Jan is my Birthday..may be getting a new Mountain bike..maybe the news will pay for it...sorry.. am I underplaying it... OK.. lets make that a gold plated mountain bike but I was trying to keep the weight down. ;-)

So the trading statement won't come Friday
If they do a December statement it will be tomorrow or Wednesday , Thursday much less likely......or we wait to my preferred date of 11-12th Jan

Someone asked why Tuesd or Wednesday - well it gives management time to talk to analysts , meet and discuss with their major investors and hopefully ( this time) do a bit of good PR, before the week is over.

Is the conclusion that IQE mainly has the interest of ADVFN traders (ie. during the week), or is it just that everyone is Christmas shopping or at Church ?

Always interesting to see the difference between the volume of posts during the week cf. to the weekend on any stocks if you're a LTBH'er.

Quite handy if you're going to trade a bit while keeping a core holding. Nobody trading wants a stable stock.

I still hold IQE and happen to believe IQE has a lot going for it in the future, as long as it actually grows, rather than constantly just finding new tech. replacement sales for older tech.

That has been the hope for quite a while now and we are still waiting for delivery.

So it has not taken off yet.

I'm afraid I become very cynical about threads when they contain logos and no fundamentals.

Seeing as we're going off topic, one of the more remarkable (and un-noticed) tech stock performers this year has been Blue Prism (LSE:PRSM). 4 bagger since IPO in March...

Yump has been here a while wilbur, he likes to look at all angles which is fine and good but tends to sell out too soon and the regret turns his posts to sour grape de-ramp from my experience. Is that the point you're at Yump?

Yump has a history of picking winners but getting cold feet miles too early so I'd expect this to shoot up next yr and expect a load more bs from Yump ;)

Why does the chart make it look like its been more or less level and then started to take off, when if the earlier prices are included, it has not.

Seeing as I'm not blue, this could easily generate a ban from posting, just like Leeson31 operated on Moni years ago before it fell apart, Richaims operated on Netplay, before it plummetted and superg1 operated on Iofina before that turned out to be hot air.

At least IQE is making good profits though, so there's probably not so much at stake and not so much concerted BS involved.

Perhaps its just a harmless small p&d.

Just reading about Qualcomm's new gpu server chip 10nm currently sampling with clients
it's based on finfet litho imprinting.
Did someone say iqe were qualifing material for litho imprinting A note from an analyst. ?? Production 2nd half 2017

Anything will suit me, I made another significant buy yesterday to hedge my bets on when the trading statement will come

As confident as I can be that it will be positive

even if wireless remains stable - which it won't given last years inventory issues and the last 3 months we pay no discount to Qorvo, then photonics will be IMHO AND DYOR up 50% + and will continue at that exponential rate ad infinitum.

FY results ( March ) is the time for a full update but I 'hope' and indeed expect the statement to say that revenues , profits are significantly above last years ...at the very least.

Don't care whether it's next week or Jan , whenever , what I invested yesterday is likely to repay me nicely

CHEAP AS CHIPS sub 40p folks
And some laughed at me when at sub 20p I said it was cheap as chips sub 35p
