FYI I can live with the volatility and I still hold. Just saying it was bad timing.

200p is a bit of a glass ceiling and probably being traded by those knowing it will bounce off it a time or 2 or 3 before it becomes support. It will get through it imho.

2.5% down is nothing. If you can't live with the volatility best to buy something boring and steady.

Bad timing I think

Surely, there must be some very good news behind todays rise? I find it hard to believe this is simply due to positive analysts comments. Maybe good developments at Oxford Nanopore?

Good to see.

If UK PLC is not to sink beneath the waves it needs to commercialise (and keep) the innovation it generates form the Universities. IPO in a good position to help that happen and make money from it too.

Thanks Philo, it's also printed in CITYAM today:IP GROUPNumis sticks to its "buy" rating for IP Group, keeping the target price at 273p. The broker thinks IP Group's partnerships with 15 British universities hold plenty of potential, and is encouraged by positive data from Oxford Nanopore, in which IP has a stake of around 19 per cent.

I have had these on watch for a few months and bought for the ISA today. One to tuck away for the long term.

Woodford Investment Management now over 3%, If I am reading rns correctly.
Looks like he is adding to the St James Place holding.

Edit added, To me, this implies that he will be buying more [based on his passion for British Tech Cos], as soon as the cash from his new co becomes available [anytime from this week onwards?]. My guess is that he will either try to average into positions, or he will try and do deals direct with Invesco, who I assume will be lightening up on positions in order to meet redemptions.

One chart forecast is for the price to move back up towards the 220p mark. That must mean some thing in the portfolio is on the move......see above post from MICKEYB......

IPO's performance over last few months has mirrored one of its potentially best investments in AGM.

AGM is now back on the move north and expect IPO to start following its upward trend.

Sorry about that but the writing was on the wall.

Looking to renter but think I shall wait until the summer is over.

Agree that long term this is a great company, however after an excellent run I think the market and stocks in general will struggle for the next few months.

Good luck all

Who was it that said the price would return to the 160p recent issue level.........well here we are now all out of pocket.

For the moment I have got this one wrong but will not be selling as I like the leverage the company offer.

Oxehealth closes latest round of funding with £2m of investment

Oxehealth, the vital signs software developer spun out from the University of Oxford's Institute of Biomedical Engineering, today announces the results of its latest round of funding, which has seen investment from IP Group plc, one of its managed funds, IP Venture Fund II LP, and ORA.

The company's patented Oxecam clinical technology, developed by world-leading scientist Professor Lionel Tarassenko, enables a digital video camera, tablet or phone to monitor the vital signs of an individual, without the need for physical contact or expensive proprietary equipment.

The technology has a number of exciting applications in both healthcare and wider consumer markets and has the potential to not only make patients safer but also save valuable nursing time otherwise spent manually collecting and recording vital signs. The funds will be used to support the development of specific applications and prototypes as well as the extension of the core technology.

Richard Griffiths, Executive Chairman of ORA, is one of the UK's leading investors in technology. Richard who was an early investor in IP Group plc, has also invested in other IP Group portfolio companies including Oxford Nanopore Technologies Ltd and Tissue Regenix Group plc. As well as a raft of other high tech and small cap companies including Nanoco Group plc, Oxford Pharmascience Group plc, Silence Therapeutics plc, Plant Health Care plc and GVC Holdings plc.

Richard said: "I'm delighted to be backing Oxehealth which has an incredibly exciting technology and a management team with a proven track record of delivery."

Existing investors IP Group plc, IP Venture Fund II LP, Chairman Allan Wood and CEO Jonathan Chevallier also invested further in the current round.

As well as influential external backers, Oxehealth is supported within by a strong board and advisors which include Warren East, ex-ARM CEO.
