180 looks like it could be a very good entry point.

STEPTOE.....if you read very carefully the Report and Accounts you will be able to piece together the reasons why the directors did what they did. I can't be any more helpful than that.

I have read with interest the company's annual report and accounts which all shareholders should do.

Apart from adding to my holding a week ago I really do think that a price around the 230p level is achievable over the coming month or two..........

That is how I see it...........

I can but why should I explain exactly what each individual tax/NI case is.

What we should be considering is the investment case for buying and selling IPO shares. I have been in this share on and off for over a year and so far OK. I still look at their portfolio and think of what is at real risk and what could make the billion dollar fortune but that I will keep to myself.

What if the new cleaning process were to take off in the USA. IPO would find themselves with a shareholding worth $$$$$$$$ and we as shareholders with a very good uplift.

As I said in a recent post I am looking for 230p but I see a broker is talking the price up to 275P

Let us see what happens.

Anley I struggle with your suggestion that the director sales are purely for TAX.

Sales of either 85% or 100% by every director that was vested shares & further significant sales by 2 additonal directors recently.

Can you explain how you conclude the sales are purly for tax reasons. Why sell all the received shares to cover the tax on them, what am I missing?

Thanks

Hendersons have been running a short CDF position for some time - see old posts of mine.
This seems to be a standard practice for them not only for IPO but other shares.

The directors selling was easy to see - TAX.

As for other comments then that is personal..................

I said in a recent post - looking for a good uplift in price and will stick to this.

I would point out I am a massive fan of IPO and had a very large position built from an inital entry price of 25p, however in the last few days I have significantly reduced my position based on the following reasoning :-

Stock markets looking toppy, recent tech IPO's have seen some silly valuations, IP Group will be susceptible to any retracement on their AIM listed stocks.
Stockmarkets tend to be weak over the summer months.
Significant director selling over the passed few dayswould indicate no news in the pipeline.
Henderson running short term shorts
Weekly chart breaking down, with a down trend developing.
Daily chart in a down trend with a death cross forming on the 40/8 day MA.

All in all I think risk v reward that now is a good time to bank some profits and look for a lower entry price, however what do I know, the share price will now probably spike northwards in the next few days!!! DYOR

Check out InvestEgate or Lse for a Form 8.3 the last was on the 20th March increasing the short to 0.27%.

Shortracker only shows when a fund manager/hegie is shorting over 0.5% of a companies share price.

Have added a link to lse 20th March Form 8.3 below (change TT to tt in http)

Hi Steptoe57, may I ask where and when did you see Henderson short CFD?

Nothing here

Yes understand directors selling a portion of their shares to cover taxes etc, but 85-100% seems excessive.

My view is the share price is weakening & could well drop back to the placing price of £1.65

I note Henderson currently have a cfd short in place currently, whilst holding a long term long position.

That's what we used to call it in my MM days.....all of them would be paying NI and CGT on their vested shares.

The real point is that the loose stock will have gone into firm hands.

Anley I am confused by your post, according to the RNS after yesterday's close all directors that received vested share's either sold them all or at least 85% of them.
What makes you think they are shuffling them?

Thanks
