08/8/2013 11:07 | ........"This has given iomart one of the fastest, most resilient and most secure fibre optic networks of any cloud computing company in the UK. Customers on its network have the fastest connections and unlimited bandwidth, allowing them to move huge amounts of data at the highest speeds wherever they are located. It has proved a major selling point for customers looking for private cloud environments particularly SAN replication and storage where latency is traditionally a barrier to multi-site DR solutions over 100km."..... | gerri-c
07/8/2013 17:21 | Am not a tecky but presume you would need some pretty powerful servers in secure, temperature controlled offices plus plenty of clients. Iomart are also building their own national fibre optic network. | droid
07/8/2013 16:45 | I think that's an excellent question. | cutlosses
07/8/2013 15:27 | This is probably an ignorant question, but are there many barriers to entry in IOM's market? They're already on a fairly high rating with 15-20% growth assumed so hopefully they won't also see their market share eroded? Thank you, Martin | shanklin
07/8/2013 12:55 | Itchy crack..... They are indeed the uks leading cloud computing company, and I agree that given the rate of expansion and the investment they have put into the company this will be 4 pounds very shortly and to big for a rival not to go unnoticed. I have bought 10k worth of shares for just that reason. If no take out comes I won't be disappointed at the 4 pound plus share price in 12 months time.Still a lot of institutional investors do not under stand what is happening around cloud computing provision and the impact of it disruptive technology. Especially in the UK.Just look at the USA biggest could computing firms and track thier share price just over the last 2 years! | kendonagasaki

25/7/2013 19:00 | Previous legs up have most certainly not been post results being released so not sure what you mean. If you mean the share price increases in anticipation of good results then yes.....the same as any other share in the world. | hydrus
25/7/2013 18:09 | hardly: this one is results driven. nobody trades this share given the huge spread. | r ball

02/7/2013 09:18 | Compared to the large US and European operators IOM is a small player. They are growing rapidly so the large players just let the likes of IOM do the 'local' growth and then get snapped up when they reach a critical mass that meets the large player's criteria. I'm not saying this definitely will happen or that any investment decision should be based on this, I'm just saying its a very distinct possibility in the future as the sector consolidates. All IMHO of course, DYOR etc. | itchycrack
02/7/2013 08:35 | Itchycrack, what makes you say that? I would disagree respectfully. They usually are the ones doing the takeovers. | wkhan116
27/6/2013 10:19 | This is likely to be a bid target in the not too distant future IMHO at around 350p to 400p range. Consolidation in this sector is already underway. | itchycrack
27/6/2013 10:07 | Looking quite pricey now. RCN has just picked up a couple of contracts may be worth a look! | cloudwars
26/6/2013 11:24 | we are on a nice breakout now...yes 290p doesn't look far ! | nurdin

07/6/2013 15:54 | video interview SVM Asset Management remains 'fully invested' Colin McLean, CEO and founder of SVM Asset Management, explains to Proactiveinvestors that there's been growing support for the equity markets since Mario Draghi, the ECB President, said last year that the central bank 'would do what it takes' to support the eurozone. Colin highlights the tech sector as one of interest where he talks about: Iomart Group, Escher Group and Earthport. Bluechips he mentions include Experian, Burberry and BT Group. hxxp://www.proactive | ceohunter

31/5/2013 15:34 | the trend is your friend. Given the high growth sector this should continue. Keep -15% trailing loss. | r ball
31/5/2013 14:17 | Re: post 770. It isn't unusual to find differences in analysis figures (e.g. I have an up-dated report giving a P/E of 26.66). One's frame of reference usually determines which of these are deemed high or low. However the fact remains that IOM has an enviable earnings Growth Rate. The five-year chart should be sufficiently inspiring: In the view of Steven Frazer writing for Shares Magazine earlier in the year (with an illustrative chart) | gerri-c |
