cutlosses - in this market, avoiding a sell off is a positive reaction !

This a pretty standard market reaction to good results that were foreshadowed in the interim trading statement ahead of actual figures. Given the continuing investment in acquisitions, fibre and capacity in the SE, I have every confidence that significant progress will be maintained. Patience will be rewarded here.

I have been dissappointed with the markets reaction to the excellent results.

Can only assume the figures were already in the share price.

Any views.

Angus MacSween, CEO commented,

"This has been another excellent trading period for iomart, delivering substantial growth both organically and through successful acquisitions. Trading in the second half of the year has begun well as the trend to outsource more and more services and infrastructure into the cloud accelerates. We continue to invest in our skills, product sets and infrastructure to deliver an increasing range and depth of cloud services and expect to continue the growth we have recently enjoyed. We therefore look forward with confidence."

Brilliant set of figures fully justifies our faith in the team.
The additional news of a further bolt-on acquisition, resilient fibre investment and expansion of Maidenhead demonstrates that the business is being managed for the long-term and there is no focus on short-term performance at the expense of the longer term.
There will be those who use current strength to exit but Iwe believe that that there is much more to go and will be staying pout.

''Firstly please accept my sincere apologies for the lack of response to your email alert sent last week. It is iomart's policy that all enquiries received via our Group and brand web sites are answered upon receipt and this has obviously not been the case with your enquiry.

I am conscious that we are seen to be proactive and responsive to private and personal enquiries that are made via Group contact forms or email and this is why I am saddened that we did not respond to your email in a timely manner.

I wholeheartedly agree with you that a measure of any company is its customer service ethic and its response to issues, real or otherwise. This is an area in which we have invested heavily over the past eighteen months and in the main making huge progress in this area. We now have one of the largest technical/customer support units of any hosting/cloud computing company in the UK and have recently re-organised the team so that they centrally support each one of our Brands on a 24 x 7 basis. We have put the customer at the heart of everything we do and it is a policy that is enabling us to drive strong levels of organic growth with low churn and high levels of new business from our existing base. We recognise that we can't rest upon our laurels and we are constantly reviewing our processes and procedures to ensure service excellence.

As I am sure you are aware one of the biggest challenges faced with the pursuance of an M&A strategy is the successful integration of an acquired company into the larger parent. The Group has built an enviable and much admired reputation for the speed and professionalism in which it has achieved this over the past two years, having successfully integrated several hosting companies onto a common infrastructure and systems platform.

Every migration is fraught with potential risks and is an extremely complex exercise to undertake, often involving the physical movement of equipment from one physical location to another with minimal disruption to service, and we have in the main, through detailed planning and assessment, successfully avoided major customer issues. That stated, our communications need to be excellent and the integration of Skymarket has not been as trouble free as we would have envisaged or liked.

Our priority over these past few days has been to ensure that the needs of Skymarket's customers have been met and that any potential disruption has been kept to a minimum. Now that we are in the process of restoring a normal service to Skymarket customers, we will spend a period of time reviewing the integration and learn from it to ensure that we do not experience a repeat of the issues in the future. We are already taking steps to change the layout of the iomart Group website to make it easier for people to contact us and you will see a much improved site being released in the next week or two.

Once again, I can only apologise to you for the non reply to your original email and I hope that my response demonstrates that we do take customer communications and service seriously. As a company we have made great progress over the past 3 years and you have my personal assurance that we have an extremely talented and professional team working hard behind the scenes to ensure our continued growth and success.

If I can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.''

I agree with Lascala - sarah@iomart.com as their operations director if chris.evans doesn't hit the soft spot.
They are getting on top of an acknowledged problem at skymarket but have always taken rtheir customer service extremely seriously - as befits a 24/7 house.
Thye normally win plaudits from their customers in general.
I am looking forward to their results on 27.11.12.

This appears very unlike iomart. The press over the past couple of years has been very positive. PJ1 & HA might be worth firing off an email to chris.evans@iomart.com - bit of a back door route but I have found him very proactive in the past when I have needed info.

Think you have made your point HA.

Certainly does not give one any confidence when they handle business so unprofessionally.
