25/10/2007 14:43 | Bit of news out on their website today... iomart sponsors Data Centre World 2008 25/10/07 iomart is proud to be named an official sponsor and Gold Partner of Data Centre World 2008. This event is the only UK exhibition and conference to focus on this sector and examine the issues surrounding selecting, outsourcing, building and running a data centre. Taking place at the Barbican in the heart of the City of London, Data Centre World is the must attend event for in house IT professionals; management within hosting companies and channel suppliers. The free-to-attend conference will cover the latest trends and technologies and will include case studies from the UK's top companies and the leading outsourced operators; whilst the exhibition will showcase the leading technology suppliers. With the burgeoning need for data storage, data security and scalability, the trend for data centres both in house and outsourced has shown phenomenal growth in the past few years. iomart is delighted to announce that it will be hosting a private VIP drinks reception at the end of the conference's first day for guests and delegates. This informal reception will provide our guests with the opportunity to network with industry peers, whilst unwinding with a glass or two of wine. If you are thinking of attending the Conference and would like to join iomart at this reception please register your interest here: www.iomart.com/conta Data Centre World Conference & Expo will be held on the 26-27 February 2008 in Hall 1, of London's Barbican Centre. | tole
25/10/2007 09:09 | Well some press writer has been reading this thread :) The Express SHARE WHISPER Web services and hosting company Iomart climbed 5-3/4 pence to 53-1/2 yesterday as a stock overhang was cleared and the forthcoming flotation of rival Telecity focused attention on revaluing Iomart's datacentre business. Some suggested Iomart could become a takeover target. | tole
24/10/2007 10:20 | Well done mequida - got to admit I couldnt believe my luck at the recent dip :)) Been following the trades here of late as you say - with the seller cleared out we should now see some serious appreciation in price. Would expect KBC to be reiterating their buy rating with the recent move out in share price. As I posted above off their recent note they see decent value here. "Unreasonably overlooked" Iomart consists of two businesses: the historic web services company and the start-up that is the datacentre business. With webservices on a suggested 10x March 2009E, the datacentre business would appear to be contributing negative value to the group. Given the 600%+ rise in IXEurope's share price from June 2006 to its approved takeover this week, datacentres are increasingly valuable and iomart is unreasonably overlooked. | tole

24/10/2007 10:04 | Hello Tole - I was the buyer of 25k at 50p earlier today. My dealer reported that there was very little stock at 48p and as I believe that this stock is now stunningly cheap I was happy to pay up. Today`s bouyant start for TELECITY is bound to focus attention on IOMART - I suspect that the London data-centre alone is worth more than half of IOMART`s current market cap.! There has been a large seller around but the volume yesterday and the price hike today suggest that he is now finished. I am looking for 80p short term! | ![]() mesquida
24/10/2007 08:06 | Hi Stegrego - good to see you've got this one on the monitor :)) Been buying myself a holding under 50p over the last few weeks. Definately looks like its got legs now for a turn imv. Be interested to know what other stocks you're into at presently or at least are following. (Looks like I banked out of velosi far too early with its recent surge in share price...) Anyway, hope all is well. Things looking good for some more activity here today - early 25k buy at 50p (2p premium to the opening offer price ) looks to have started its move. Level 2 now 3v1 48-51.5 | tole
23/10/2007 20:40 | Still watching and waiting here - | ![]() stegrego
23/10/2007 19:13 | Dealings start tomorrow in TELECITY - this could well focus attention on IOMART. | ![]() mesquida
23/10/2007 16:10 | A quick summary off the latest KBC update - "The current valuation represents a substantial discount to a sum of the parts valuation, given the cash generative nature of the legacy webservices division and the exposure to highly sought after datacentres." "We therefore reiterate that the current market valuation is, in our opinion, below any reasonable sum of the parts assessment. Our lowest case, of 10x March 2008E for webservices (therefore £31m) and replacement cost of £33m for datacentres, would equate to 65p. Our best case at 10x March 2009E PER for webservices and £59m for datacentres would equate to 120p." "We would suggest a 90-100p range is the reasonable compromise that can be justified without reaching metrics that would be testing: webservices at 10x March 2009E PER, and datacentres at £33m." | tole
23/10/2007 12:42 | Online trading volumes also reduced after those large trades earlier. BUY 2.5k @ 48 SELL 50k @ 46.2 | tole
23/10/2007 11:49 | Large volume again today and breaking out the downtrend today :)) L2 3v1 46-48 | tole
11/10/2007 10:30 | Continued bounce today which is nice. Be good to see it back above 50p soon. | tole
10/10/2007 09:47 | Is that the low in? - Big cross trade today at 43p - and L2 bouncing back to 3v1 | tole

28/9/2007 12:41 | Thanks Mes The article reads well, though they do still have it all to do. I am heartened by the massive institutional support for the rights at 50p a while back and joined the pack at that point. Your hopefully R | ![]() robsy2
28/9/2007 08:28 | Timing of grant of options could prove to be very astute! I will be amazed if forthcoming TELECITY/REDBUS float does not have beneficial impact on IOMART share price. | ![]() mesquida
26/9/2007 09:01 | Hot News - TELECITY/REDBUS set to float in October. Now that really should focus attention on IOMART´s Data Centres. | ![]() mesquida
25/9/2007 21:56 | Took all of 30 seconds to find it.... Iomart Iomart is a Glasgow-based business that finds itself in a technological sweet spot. It runs data centres, which store racks upon racks of servers that play host to websites for clients such as Stagecoach and Warner Brothers. In case you hadn't noticed, having a good company website is rather important in business these days, but demand for hosting is outstripping supply in Europe and the US as large companies run out of space and find it more cost effective and reliable to outsource the job. Earlier this year Iomart bought out the remaining 51pc of rival Easyspace Datacentres giving it a further five UK data centres. These included one on the edge of the City, which the management showed off to some fund managers last week at an investor meeting. Word is that the visitors were rather impressed with what they saw. Iomart shares, at 53p this week, were trading on a pricey looking 51 times earnings for the current year, partly a reflection of changes to the accounting policy. But that multiple falls to just 9.6 for the year to March 2009. There is no dividend expected and the shares are not without risk. But there has been a flurry of takeover activity in data centres and, at less than £53m, Iomart is well within reach of potential acquirers. Worth a look. | ![]() stegrego
25/9/2007 19:26 | Sorry, no can do - newspapers went for recycling on Sunday morning. But can tell you that it was in the Questor smaller companies section in the personal finance section. Perhaps you can retrieve it from the Telegraph´s own web site. It was a very positive piece although I am bound to say that it did not exactly get the punters buying first thing on Monday morning! Mind you, the favourable impression that the institutions came away with might be an indicator of a bullish trading statement coming any time soon, and surely that would get the punters nibbling! | ![]() mesquida |
