18/8/2014 13:26 | orslega: the strategic review should be aiming at the interims too imo. All happening at once :-) Imo none of this explains the share price strength tho. Any theories? | engelo
18/8/2014 13:25 | level 2 did look under pressure as posted earlier, no supply and buys building. No doubt the pop up will flush a few out, but this move over the last few weeks will have confounded the chart and trade folk. The 25mt sellers will have learned to read the rns properly. Io2, Io4, and io5/6 could imo have justified individual news had they not happened in the production month end timeframe. If you look at the figure 1.7mt, that would need 100k bpd at an average of 125ppm. io2 has more than it can handle, the io4 updates have been 20k bpd and now it seems to suggest 30k bpd going there. io6 'good quantity' I suspect those 3 cover 60k to 80k and at a higher rate than 125ppm. | ![]() superg1
18/8/2014 13:13 | hmmn...sp moving on little volume...looks like some of the chesa brines are finding their way through : ) phoenix - my thought is that once the chess brines are properly switched on we will be looking at considerably more than 1.7MT daily. Hopefully not too long to wait for that. | orslega
18/8/2014 12:47 | phoenix: as the last prod figs RNS was late it's only 2.5 weeks till we get the August figs (say Sept 4th/5th), and hopefully reiterated Sept guidance. Last year notice of the interims was Sept 6th, and interims themselves Sept 25th. To get us back in favour with the market would expect some positive forward plans and guidance in the interim statement. Water humming along in the background, also news on CEO and mobiles to come. And the way the share price is behaving that's not all: good month coming imo. | engelo
18/8/2014 12:24 | SG: had many surprises about IOF but the fact that you operate from memory recall and no database is the most astonishing :-) | engelo
18/8/2014 12:09 | The more I look at that 'other' depot/permit. The more I realise why the bureau get suspicious. One letter of intent is for a water trucking company, but if you look up how many trucks they have and drivers, then they can't possibly transport the amount in the letter of intent, so the 'letter of intent' becomes a letter of can't possibly achieve. The biggest LOI is for irrigation and I'm guessing that was rejected, then one familiar name removed his name from the joint application. So I guess they are used to the locals trying to pull a fast one. The amount awarded roughly matches LOIs from oil companies. | ![]() superg1
18/8/2014 11:37 | thoughts? In the recent rns: 1) expect to have 40 mt during August 2) end of August exit rate 1.7 mt (gives 51 mt for September) We have seen the worst a few months back, the company are doing what they said a few months back, the annualized rate of production is going to rapidly increase and the share price will soon reflect not just 400 mt but 600mt pa. | ![]() phoenixs
18/8/2014 11:35 | I thought I'd do a little work on that 75 cents pb depot to see what it is all about. Having done so I see no reason why IOF won't get the permit. It seems no different to what the owners of that depot did. I just can't see how on a legal front they can refuse IOF at least part of their application. IOF have informed us the water is legally available, which is the main hurdle. They also report exactly what this depot does in relation to letters of intent for industrial use. On that basis, I expect the IOF permit will be awarded at some point, for all or some of the requested amount. To do otherwise, based on what IOF have said, would go against water laws. EG Letters of intent to purchase water from named companies, and then a determination to grant for a sizeable, but lesser amount than they applied for has been awarded to that depot. That depot does not affect where IOF would be. I also note on that permit it's for sale of water in Montana only. In terms of road access, it's not in the greatest place, but for geographical reasons I can see why they are there. It will be interesting to see, if IOF get a permit, whether that includes use in North Dakota, because on that front they are in a prime location to do that. Under the water laws cross border use is allowed, just the level of evidence required goes up. IOF would have to prove the use in ND is a use allowed in Montana, which of course it is. Although the water bureau talk 'contracts' as evidence, they mean letters of intent, as contracts pre water permit are not allowed. | ![]() superg1

18/8/2014 10:56 | Well I thought sticking a center parcs on Mars would never happen, but it sounds like they are going ahead. Some things however are just way beyond the realms of possibility. I just tried to look up the Mars colony website, but apparently it's crashed due to the very high number of applicants keen to not miss the deadline for people they are nominating. I thought best to mention the wife bit, oooops I have. No doubt Avanti will spend £1.3 billion trying to get broadband up their for the 10 customers, it's a first mover advantage, and unmet demand situation you know. | ![]() superg1
18/8/2014 10:46 | Level 2 starting to look interesting. Especially after it's suspected the main supply went late last week. There is always time for them to load up the offer, but it's looking pretty lean on that front right now. There have been a few exploratory bids this morning, and very little was triggered. | ![]() superg1

18/8/2014 10:22 | ors No database or organisation whatsoever, I can just recall the various bits from memory if someone raises a point then use search terms to try and recover the info. One I have been struggling to find it's a record of water prices at a Canadian water depot. It was in the days when I though $1 pb was a bit high, but then found details to show that it's not a mad figure. There is one small one in Montana that offers water for around 75 cents pb, I know where that one is. They will go cheaper for big contracts, but I haven't looked at their supply ability rate yet, or the locality to wells which is factor re pricing Which reminds me (recalling things) I think it's the big five O this year for our fave troll this year, so wish him well on his half century. | ![]() superg1
18/8/2014 09:26 | orm finally showing signs of life. Up 30 per cent in a week, think will go another 30 this week. Has potential to multi bag very quickly. Is a world class tungsten project that has been waiting for a permit for 2 years. Hopefully will come next month, will be no shortage of people wanting to take them over once the permit is granted. | ![]() jbe81

17/8/2014 23:02 | SG: (23791) very much appreciate that my x hundred hours of reading corresponds to at least x thousand hours research on your part, and that's on just one share ;-) Just hope you enjoy the sleuthing as much as I enjoy the results of it :-) What amazes me is how you keep track of the hundreds of subjects within IOF's empire and history: accessing old posts to retrieve back info is very slow so imo you must have (apart from a world class memory) a highly efficient database methodology ;-) Btw noticed that TW (if he's telling the truth) indexes all his pieces (and presumably RNSs etc etc) under multiple keywords, presumably using special software. (He needs to as be may be sued at any minute by quite a few ;-) | engelo
17/8/2014 18:48 | Hi Bogg1e, pretty much agree with your numbers. All we need is produce a bit more and wait for the price of iodine to bounce. Given the situation with the other iodine suppliers should not have to wait too long, then it gets very interesting. ;-) | ![]() 1madmarky
17/8/2014 18:34 | Although admittedly not good now, presumably we will benefit later ammons, as we will get 'double' the iodine from one cost of processing? Or am I misunderstanding the process? | ![]() woodpeckers
17/8/2014 18:13 | "IO#2 Production Plant Production in July was lean due to the Operator's complete diversion of brine to temporary storage tanks used for nearby fracking activity." I wonder what that means? Is the fracking company going to start using brine water twice before getting rid of it in our direction? | ![]() ammons
17/8/2014 16:44 | Engelo Can you imagine how many hours it takes to find the information :-). 95% of the digging results in dead ends. However obsessive it may be, it's a great learning curve for information on various countries, and learning the many techniques for the recovery of minerals and metals. It's quite clear the market drops mineral and metal recovery companies all into the a huge capital expenditure pot. I'm watching an AIM company that doesn't have such costs, but will get lumped into big spending needed, category. The market is very ignorant at times about the position of many companies. | ![]() superg1
17/8/2014 16:20 | Thanks crosseyed. I prefer the concept of minis since we could be more flexible scaling up at sites that prove to be constantly good and potentially withdrawing from those with persistent disruption. Of course it's another new bit of unproven tech which is a concern. I'd like to see one deployed as a test by the end of the year but we'll have to see what the results of the operational review are I suppose. | count chris |
