It's a pity iof hadn't found out the criteria required by the water board before attempting to make an application. We are made to look like a school boy, with limited ability, trying to pass an exam.

Reason for continuing with the water application.... It's easy money and once all is appropriated then there are no new entrants into the market. So a limited supply of an asset into a growing market. Restricted supply and potentially increasing demand. Who the heck would not want to be in this market. This is an absolute no brainer. I ho I ho it's off to a hearing we go!

Mr big sounds a bit deflated this morning. I expect the water news has spoilt his cruise. Something else to add to the long list of IOF failures. Oh well, at least I've saved him a thousand pounds. One would have to question the investing judgement of someone who was prepared to make such a ridiculous bet offer.

Hopefully the last of the negative news will be out of the way after next week's results, and this can slowly start to track back. It sure will make a refreshing change following the last 10 months!

Any downfall in the share price wont last long. On the plus side it can only go 60 odd p lower.

With 5 plants running, no 6 on the way with mobiles expected later on in the year, fill ur boots.

Incidentally , as I intend to hold and build position , welcome lower prices if mr market delivers up. Suspect news flow on annual results and update will focus investors in the current flow of iodine and future prospects which are looking satisfaction .

It wouldn't surprise me to see the share price in the forties after this news and the upcoming poor results. What does surprise me is that such an allegedly savvy investor as Mr big was, up until yesterday, willing to throw away a thousand pounds on such a rash bet. IOF are now going to have to pull a huge rabbit out of the hat to get this to £1 in a few weeks. Talking of hats,it doesn't look like I'll be eating mine anytime soon.

Its a shame that the water permit keeps kicking us. It has great potential but to be fair to the company they have always maintained that it is non core. In fact the first point it is mentioned in the recent presentation is the last point of the last slide.

At 200p water was factored in but at 65p I cannot see how there is any water value. Undoubtedly there will be a heavy fall on Tuesday, and with the poor results to follow in the week it may get ugly. I am looking forward to some cheap iodine shares :-)

Anyway it is not over yet. Hearing will take place within 45 days, where IOF have the opportunity to show that the DNRC has 'erred' in its decision. And a final decision will be taken within 90 days of the hearing.

Or you Dig you can buy. Shame, the water would have been a welcome boost but don't lose site of the core business and that is Iodine. They are aiming pdq for 2mt a week. 4/5 now in production as well as 1,2 and 3. 6 isn't that far off. The trolls will appear Shoddy already has and will bad mouth the company. But focus on this Lance is back and he and we are focused on iodine and the future. The Mms will rattle people on Tuesday and so many who watch the share price all day will be panicked into selling. The noise will be deafening on Tuesday some of that noise will be the Instis and Mr Big rubbing their hands together in glee at the thought of all the cheap shares they can pick up. The reason they want the cheap shares is because its all about the iodine, its always been about the iodine, the water has muddied the waters because short term it will be an opportunity to panic some into parting with their shares. Think long and hard before you sell.

If I were a gambler it would be easy money. Massive drop here next week and that's a dead cert. This will be lucky to see £1 by xmas far less in a few weeks.

Looks like Mr big will soon be able to buy some more at 50p. Probably next week. I expect he'll be having second thoughts about his thousand pound bet offer, now that the water permit application is dead in the water (pardon the pun). Not even the remotest chance of £1 by 10th June now. It'll be nearer 50p than £1

No one is invested for the non-core water at these silly prices. The iodine business
moves forward with five plants operational. Soon to be six.

FWIW, the 'potential' water business has not been priced into the current share price so I would think the reaction will be minor, MM's may try to panic a few people into selling but Iofina is and has always been about the Iodine.

Not one broker note has included water in their projections and we are still only 50% towards broker targets. I would think that any pullback will be met with solid buying by some big fish, maybe Mr B tempted to grab some more if they get cheap enough.
