frog1, agreed and I wonder whether they have treated tax charge correctly, and these are on what I believe to be absurdly conservative projections.

One for you:

I shall ever remain the optimist, even if it is a flaw.

Netters, Bevis Frond, for a moment there I thought I was in a coffeeshop in Amsterdam, floating in a prog rock haze.

So am I right in assuming they now say eps of 4.7p on revenue of $40m? Assume 4.7p that would make a profit of £6 m (not much more that N3tley).

If that's right, then a profit of $9.7 m on $40m still does not work for me. From interims, IOF Chemical sell at 20%, Numis say $21-$23 as cost for internal Iodine. Even using $45 price for iodine and $23 cost I get for 700 mt produced $13.5m so where are the other costs $4m costs. The only ways I can see are :-

1. The Iodine they produce cannot be sold for $45 and is much lower margin than the figures suggest, but they produce more iodine.

2. More of the revenue comes from IOF chemical derivatives at 20% than from internally produced Iodine, so they will actually not have much to sell in the market and they produce less.

Anyway, $4m descrepency for me. Could someone show the detailed numbers please.

WNTS have a buyer - been in the market for the last 30mins trading, they're bang on the bid.

What a pigs breakfast. At this rate we'll see an intraday high at the close!

Pleased to see Numis has corrected their mistake.

Looking forward now to Iofina smashing their low end estimates of 700mt and 1250mt for 2014 and 15 respectively and being awarded a healthy P/E in return.

SG1 cheers. But an eps of 4.7 still leaves us with a p/e of approx 18 at the current price approx 84p (84p / 4.7 = 18 p/e). That still strikes me as highish, although IOF has traded on much higher multiples than that. Heres hoping the market is reassured to put us back into an uptrend. A few days back at 103p were were moving higher, then it fell back dramatically, i wonder if the first numis numbers were leaked in advance?

I have never trusted broker notes, I have never seen the market attribute any value to them when issued either.
3 Brokers notes issued in William Hill's Bookies today, all saying that there is 40% upside on todays price. Yes WMH share price has fallen.

Now, on IOF it will be different, because PI's baled out because of the fear that Numis might be correct. Also those who were sick and tired of the constant errors connected to this stock.
So, I expect the share price to recover all that it lost for that reason.
Then, it might continue north as people take a position believing that we have seen the lows.

If buying continues, MMs are going to have to move this up sharply. Bit of re-gig going on, on the offer. MMs need stock.

Anyone know of a decent charting book? and where in the indicators it warns about nomad incorrect notes.

How many times have we said not to trust analyst notes.

Well in Mick! Now, Wardy333, I hope you have better luck than in GKP although I have lost shed loads in both up to now.
It's about to change for IOF.

Just dipped a toe in following the news that Numis have corrected the note. Lovely double bottom on the chart as well.

If L2 continues to strengthen, as it is, we could end the day at about 85p/87p. Few willing to surrender stock at these prices, hardly surprising...

L2 says otherwise, Fest. MMs are short of stock, or want as much as they can get their grubby paws on at these prices (82p)
