I was quite enjoying the rather apt Colorado tumbleweed rolling through here.

Ticks back and the doom brigade arrive.

Fortunately I have "the dross" filtered, but I do wonder why some people think it so necessary to debase a board on which investors, both actual and potential, seek to have a genuine and informative discussion about a stock and also to exchange ideas, opinions and information.

no offence intended, but "cup and handle" is for coffee/tea and rsi etc etc is of no use at all when dealing with this type of stock.
All that matters in this case is delivery on their projections, revenue and profits. The rise in share price will follow!

That perfect 'Cup and handle' is working out as I suggested....should hit 118-120+ in very short order! Back to the tea leaves and tarot cards!

Do I think others like the iodine industry and would want to get involved.

In recent times

The Lundin group did, but have found it is not easy and have had problems, I expect that idea to crash and burn.

Toyota tsusho wanted to increase their presence in the sector, they thought Chile was the only place to go, so took an interest in Algorta SA, things didn't go well in the early days, and from idea to production, the opex doubled, with high capex costs.

Arysta life Science chose the US (OK) over Chile but then found they could not create the tech to profitably produce iodine.

Where is there a commercial and significant resource? The US.

Who has viable tech to exploit it other than IOF? No one.

Still looking at Chile and the more I look, the greater I believe the opportunity is for IOF.

It all needs delivery of course but the major factor to me is commercial resources.

I tend to swim the other way, and steer clear of any hype mining product that is seeing rising prices. If a commodity hits high prices, if resources are available, then you can be sure to bet other companies will pile in to exploit the resource and price.

Rutile is a decent example, some were looking good in that sector but the risk was other producers getting in on production, they did and the price was hit hard.

Small Goldies chased the price and hints of $2000 oz to be broken. How many of those have, and will go bust if gold prices stay at these lower levels.

I keep watching PURE with interest, an unstoppable climb it seems, and a high market cap, based of the potential, that's all about the sweetener stevia, good contracts.

BUT then I see previous tobacco growers dumping that product, with the right soil and conditions to grow stevia, moving over to stevia, so a few will be getting into that game, how will that affect PURE ??

Graphite, the hype there is good, and maybe a future rocket product, but then I read a line of 'a number of mothballed mines', so if it does take off, selecting the high grade sectors is the key, IF high grade is rare.

Iodine is commercially rare. There are no obvious unexploited viable commercial reserves other than the US at the moment, and most don't even know it's there.

Chile with the vast reserves with an ever-growing list of capex, opex, water, power and environmental app problems. Japan crossed off the list to seriously add to the future demand.
Those 2 countries cover 80% plus of world supply, one can't materially add and is potentially going backwards, the other is finding capex, opex, and infrastructure issues as a material and growing burden.

So on that basis, the opportunity is there, building blocks in place, and it just needs delivery.
