18/12/2013 10:19 | johncsimpson - 18 Dec'13 - 13282: I am not seeking sympathy; I stand by my investment decisions - no one forced me to buy. Sorry to read about your substantial loss here - I hope that the price recovers - but it is gratifying to see that you a really a man who takesw responsibility for his own decisions unlike another snivelling wretch who just seeks to blame others for his own misfortunes. | ![]() masurenguy
18/12/2013 10:17 | H, Contrast the three plants with Dr Fay's interview six months ago. He said 6-8 next year and no reason why they couldn't roll out one plant per month. I'll try and find out why. | ![]() che7win

18/12/2013 10:03 | I imagine the reason they have reduced the number of units to be installed by end 2014 is that they are now factoring reality into their plans. Evidently it has taken longer to complete those they expected to do in 2013. Given this experience it would be illogical to expect them to catch up the 2013 overrun and still deliver those they once pencilled in for 2014. If they had said they would do that would anyone believe them ? I'm not happy they have previously under-estimated the timeframe required but I am happier that they appear to have learnt from this and are no longer being uber bullish. | huttgl
18/12/2013 10:00 | This from the other thread (obviously late last night): Major Dome 17 Dec'13 - 22:50 - 6504 of 6507 Just caught up from this morning and it seems there is a no show from SG and a brief appearance from his 'friend' Simpson who decided that a rundown of the perceived trolls on IOF and their habits was a more diversionary story to take people's minds off the current share price (remind you of someone?) -------------------- A wholly incorrect perception of my 'motives' and re SG, I have no doubt he will re-appear . . . I am not seeking sympathy; I stand by my investment decisions - no one forced me to buy; I've been doing it for 20+ years but there has been more than some 'rose-tinted' vision. My motives were multifaceted and I ran out of time re producing something that I wanted to post, what with all the other stuff that was going on. There were another three posters who I also wanted to mention but the moment has now passed and life goes on. One, however, was ramur kamar who I had a go at once so I thank him for his well wishes as indeed I thank all of those who were sympathetic. I would point out that I haven't sold any of my shares though some in my circle of friend and family have in varying proportions. I just have a large paper loss which may or may not come right in the fullness of time . . . | ![]() johncsimpson
18/12/2013 09:46 | Wasn't this supposed to be the next Asos? How foolish the ramping crew must be feeling today. Chris Fay was a bit premature with his buys yesterday. I don't think he really wanted the shares. It was just a desperate attempt to halt the slide which hasn't worked. If he'd waited a couple of weeks he could get them for 70p which is where this is heading. It might not even stop there. This outfit has lost all credibility in the eyes of the market. | shonny
18/12/2013 09:45 | Captain Kurt The ramp is over. Give it up please. There on to you all here imo. The chart is looking nasty!!!! DOWNWARD TREND!!!!! very much in play and looking like more and more HEAVY FALLS!!!! Sell now and buy back half this price in a few weeks. The ramp is over and there is nothing to support this from the 35p level. | ![]() jackabite

18/12/2013 09:43 | 18 December 2013 Iodine specialist Iofina collapsed 36.5p to 95.75p after saying that it expects full-year revenues and earnings to be comparable to 2012 despite a significant fall in prices and a delay in some shipments. The reason for this is mainly due to delayed 2013 shipments by Iofina Chemical that will now arrive in 2014, resulting in an inventory build-up. Investec remains a buyer with a target price of 230p. Chairman Chris Fay attempted to stop the rot by acquiring 50,000 shares at 101p and then a further 100,000 shares at 100p later in the day | ![]() captain_kurt

18/12/2013 09:32 | Masurenguy Missing the point again you cretin. Why you defending the coward? When GDL had news which was taken in the same manner as the news here Superpooh was on the GDL board first thing giving it plenty!!! slamming holders of GDL Where is he now? I'm not here to say Oh superpooh ramped, it's not fair etc He did ramp but that's not my primary focus. I am here to highlight the fact that what he done was not very nice and very underhand so I am repaying him the compliment. He kept going on about one sided threads with no balance. Then he was runing the same thing he said was wrong here, banning anyone that spoke out lol He kept going on about GDL going down the pan. He kept going on about how his research was spot on and he was the man!!! I ask you now...where is he? I also ask you are you saying it was OK for him to trash GDL when we got bad news? if so, then IOF is fair game for that too or what exactly are you saying. please, get to the point and tell me what you want to say? it's either OK for superpooh to trash GDL on bad news or it's not? now which one? Do you have the balls to answer me? | ![]() jackabite

18/12/2013 09:12 | Jackabite - 18 Dec'13 - 13268: He reminds me of a maggot! I hope he enjoys his cornflakes whilst reading that this morning, I know you still read my posts you maggot. These relentless attacks against another poster are clearly the product of a sick and twisted individual. Nobody makes anyone invest in anything - it is entirely your decision and your responsibility. As far as "ramping" goes Jackabite undertakes this himself on another thread - GDL GDL Posts from Jackabite in September when their shareprice was 26p ! Jackabite - 27 Sep'13 - 1149: I agree 36p is very cheap and it will do a lot more than that!! Jackabite - 27 Sep'13 - 1153: I can see this going up significantly over the next few months! Jackabite - 27 Sep'13 - 1158: I don't think it will be too long before we are longer priced in pennies but priced in £'s GDL shareprice today is 13p - DOWN by 50% When it comes to his attacks on the thread author here as a ramper then one can only say: POT - KETTLE - BLACK Perhaps we should incessantly post evidence of his own ramps until everyone is as sick and fed up of seeing them as they are with his unrelenting personal attacks on this thread. | ![]() masurenguy
18/12/2013 09:11 | Just read Bobsworth last post re rose tinted glasses. Surely we knew about much of what was in yesterdays statement. We had already been told that 4 and 5 wouldn't be completed until Q1 2014. What we learnt was that they have decided on the location of 6 and have commenced construction, so just good news there. I agree it was news that they intend to build only 3 plants next year and it's a shame that they didn't expand on the reasons for this. It's possible isn't it, that they feel the mobile units are a better alternative? Perhaps the comment that they are looking at other opportunities which may prove commercially lucrative like the closed down oil and gas production sites is related. It is good to know that they are examining alternatives rather than blindly surging forward. With regard the revenue, they state ' shipments at Iofina Chemical now being delayed into 2014'. They don't say that they couldn't make the sales, there could be a beneficial reason for them not doing so. I agree it would be good to be told if so. They really do still appear to be keeping their cards close to their chests which is somewhat unsettling. The news that iodine prices have dropped was surely not news at all! Much has been said about this actually benefiting IOF. Confirmation that they are of the opinion that prices will rise later next year was hopeful. Trying to take those glasses off, but I am struggling to find anything that tells me that there is any great change. All businesses adapt plans with time, that is surely healthy. | ![]() woodpeckers

18/12/2013 08:52 | Roundup, They certainly haven't concealed how poor their forecasting has been, I'm sure the opposition is most pleased at that. I hope they are up for the competition they should expect. | ![]() che7win
18/12/2013 08:40 | Maybe there are certain things better concealed from the opposition; however it is never a good policy to have shareholders second guessing what is happening within the company. I never did accept what the company said about keeping under the radar. | ![]() roundup
18/12/2013 08:39 | WRITZ N3tley is right - Viachem are the exclusive distributor for Iofina's Chloramine-T in N America. 'Iofina Chemical is the only U.S. manufacturer of Chloramine-T.' It's used for many biocidal purposes - fish farms are an example. | ![]() iofra |
