17/12/2013 21:42 | we all need to buy these as xmas presents now hxxp://www.alibaba.c | nevmyers
17/12/2013 21:42 | Is the lack of the prilling tower becoming more of an issue with the inventory build up? CF mentioned at the last presentation that potential customers could use the iodine paste, which was cheaper than iodine crystals, but most had been paying more for the prilled iodine pellets. Perhaps, the prilled iodine is more fundamental than they were expecting, and the need for the prilling tower build has become more essential than IO plants 10, 11 and 12. If so let's hope this can be constructed in quick time!! Feeling the pain too!! | ![]() danster4
17/12/2013 21:40 | Ramu, hopefully they can ride the storm. Don't forget at the end of the day it is their decision to invest, and you gave the advice with the best intention. | ![]() bobbyshilling
17/12/2013 21:33 | Bobby, thanks for the reassuring words but I'm not worried about me, just some friends and colleagues who invested because of my big mouth and now I feel for these guys and their family. | ramu kumar
17/12/2013 21:29 | Bag, not quite 50/50. More likely than unlikely I would say, but agreed, not certain. We should know in Jan though. | ![]() bobbyshilling
17/12/2013 21:25 | Ramu, the losses are paper ones if you don't sell. There are genuinely good prospects here going forward I feel, and especially if we get the first water permit approved. It will take time of course, but over £2 is achievable in the not too distant future, and even after today's news, our broker has a £2.30 target, admittedly no time scale attached. If you look around Aim, this is still a good company with prospects of growth, even if it will not be as dramatic as some of us thought, but the hard work has mostly been done. | ![]() bobbyshilling
17/12/2013 21:22 | John Just been catching up on some posts, I am also sitting on a 50% loss and this morning I bought more to get my break even down, I don't understand why you think you or your family have to sell, Nothing apart from a slower turn round than expected has happened and the price of Iodine will rise at some point, I don't know if the shares will fall anymore after today, I would say they have more chance of going up than down now, but at the end of the day you wouldn't be selling if todays share drop hadn't happened, My plan is to wait and let the share price recover. 17/12/2013 21:18 | Bobbys Its like shoving a load of money on red or black and hoping it comes up your way. Water and the share price maybe goes up 20-30p. No water and maybe it goes down another 20-30p. Not nice for any of us | baguette
17/12/2013 20:59 | JCS, truly sorry for your loss, I too am in six figures but on paper and can ride it out. However, I don't really know what to say to some of my colleagues and many readers here who have realised losses - no amount of words can justify what these people will have to go through this festive period. You can lose money and make it up later but I am really sad that I may lose some friends, some of whom I cannot even look into their eyes and say everything will be fine. I'm hoping it wouldn't come to that. | ramu kumar
17/12/2013 20:59 | We have the business, it's growing but not in a linear predictable fashion, a problem is that we are not hearing consistent growth RNSs, instead missed deadlines. Now we have 'new' management, they see the above, they decide let's underpromise, over deliver. So let's set really low estimates which we can easily surpass. Then we have sentiment; just as 240p was well ahead of the business, the market is now too pessimistic IMHO. Sentiment can drive a share price much higher than it deserves to be, likewise the opposite can happen and it falls below prospects. It all makes investing unpredictable, but in conclusion we are a business that is growing. Expectations set today insure we don't grow too fast, the market will have to recognise that growth over the next few months if it happens. Five plants in operation in a couple of months will soon change sentiment IMHO. | ![]() che7win
17/12/2013 20:56 | Bag, that brings us to - are Ennismore closing their position, or are they hanging in there for water news? | ![]() bobbyshilling
17/12/2013 20:48 | JCS I am truly sorry about your predicament and I take no pleasure in having been right about my worries. Unfortunately I stayed fully invested so did not take action when my gut instinct was that Ennismore knew more than us. What now - am just hoping they can pull out the water approval without any real confidence that they will. | baguette
17/12/2013 20:41 | Jcsimpson just got home and read your posts. Feel for you and hope sorts itself out. Not the RNS anyone wanted but there is some good in it and seems to me going forward there is still lots to look forward to. Bought a few more first thing this morning. 17/12/2013 20:27 | Microcline, It does seem more emphasis on mobile units, probably dirt cheap to construct and quick payback. I just don't get the low output of each plant, surely it has be more? How does that contrast with the presentations? Maybe we aren't thinking of the supply, doesn't IO3 only have 20,000 Bpd supply currently? We thought a 50k plant on 300ppm would do 700 mt plus. Where are the mobile units, didn't we expect at least one this year? What's going on with the PPM figures, surely each plant should be at least 200Mt each? The new management statements don't match up with Dr Fay's, neither do the share purchases :-) | ![]() che7win
17/12/2013 20:20 | I think he should be here for good times as well as bad times. Obviously he did'nt make people buy this stock at gun point, so he is not to blame. But he as a promenant poster should be here to put things straight. | hitsha3
17/12/2013 20:17 | Talking of JVs who wishes we hadn't told Halliburton to do one re water and try and go it alone ! | warrensearle
17/12/2013 20:11 | Or could it be multiple mobile units to process the mega ppm,s? | ![]() microcline
17/12/2013 20:11 | John, I feel so sorry for you and others. I am still to recover from past losses and had I not invested here and remained in my other stocks last year I would be well up. I'm gutted too, but I bought more today as has Dr Fay because this price is enticing. If water comes, that a possible £11m profit per year alone, that covers the current price more or less. The business has break up value with the oil and gas prospects. On the iodine, 1400MT looks realistic on 9 plants and mini-plants, that could be worth £17m at $30 margins. Certainly worth 180p at a P/E of 15. I would say a 200p offer would be hard to ignore at this stage, enough to get voted through and at the same time a bargain for the acquirer. One other thought, a JV with a Chilean/Japanese rival might not be that far fetched, a bit like Sirocco. We have the lowest cost, a bit of capital and guidance and the JV would would be very lucrative. I think this is the kitchen sink RNS out if the way, expectations are very low going forward setting us up for management surpassing them. I wonder what Lance with 9,000,000 shares thinks? | ![]() che7win
17/12/2013 20:09 | As Supremo alluded to it's not the number of plants but the thru put and the concentration of iodine in the brine. Somewhere in the dark recesses of the IOF blogs there was mention of brines with mega ppm. Was it mentioned at a presentation? Therefore massive plants may be the preferred option instead of a dozen small ones.. | ![]() microcline
17/12/2013 20:00 | Is this new management setting themselves up so they look like heros going forward? Timw will tell.If IO4 comes on line before mid feb the answer is probably yes IMHO. | monty panesar
17/12/2013 19:59 | I also support SG1, but where the hell is he gone. | hitsha3 |
