If the plants are literally next to each other and they are repetetive builds it would simplify training and noli's account would sound right.

I've put a ban on HP.

I think we have a far better idea of what the share price will do. While I think pushing IOF would benefit many PI's in terms of the potential over the next 6 months, that approach is not welcome.

I did review HP's posts elsewhere first to eliminate a bit of over-enthusiasm re IOF, and the 'chart break-out' claims.

The 'enthusiasm' appears on a number of shares.

Sorry HP but we like research and decent debate. Scrutable, Titus Coco and others provide detailed chart info from time to time.

I wouldn't want PI's rushing in clueless as to recent trends, volumes and what IOF is about, on the back of wild posts.

But for your benefit, unless you already know IOF, I suggest you read up a little on them. Don't worry too much about break outs, the business plan and delivery will sort that over the next 6 months.

A bit of solid research would pay off handsomely here.

SG, i believe its 8 weeks prior to train, so they would train on IO#2 and move to io#3/4. So if correct around the end of July/start of August for plant built and ready for start up imho.

Sg1,

it is normal practice to hire operation staff at the beginning of construction. They watch the plant being put together and it gives them a fair knowledge of the plant.

Edit.
This of course depends on the complexity of the plant. For small repetetive builds this will probably not be necessary.

dig, that sounds to me like it could refer to the mini's. I think 1 was expected this year so 3 would be a bonus on high ppm sites.

Some interesting points in the job listings.

UY the 3 could be io4,5 and 6, if io3 is already being built.

'new plant sites are primarily Oklahoma at this time'

I forget where I heard or read it, but the plan is to recruit ahead of plant builds so staff are fully trained and ready to go as each plant comes online.

Mo, regarding the selloff it's due to the release of the last set of fed meeting notes (http://federalreserve.gov/aboutthefed/fac-20130517.pdf). They admit that they're worried they've created an asset bubble and are storing up a wave of inflation for the future.

"There is also concern about the possibility of a breakout of inflation, although current inflation risk is not considered unmanageable, and of an unsustainable bubble in equity and fixed-income markets given current prices."

That's according to zerohedge.com anyway, but they tend to be reasonably accurate
when it comes to predicting doom and gloom.

Hopefully it's the latter noli, if it is the other options then IOF are getting it wrong with their expectations of what one person can do.

Dig, that new management position is interesting, iof advertised for someone in that role a while ago, so he/she has either left, moved to a different position within the company or the rollout is picking up pace and they need another management position to deal with the plant rollout.

Just wondering if the MSCI publically announced news is the "Big" news we`ve been looking for - possibly as good for the share price as any tip - This weekends papers will tell

According to Boston Globe - they cited investors selling off to rebalance their portfolios at the end of the month as a reason for the Dow heavy falls late afternoon. http://www.bostonglobe.com/business/2013/05/31/dow-falls-after-late-plunge/apIjk7Ot3AW3gX2ITxuOhK/story.html

As an interested party I checked out the MSCI site - their published indices apparently cannot be used as a direct basis for "passively" managed funds which infers that they can be probably be used for those that are actively managed(?)

If so it would seem possible that active funds wishing to apportion a % of their fund to UK small caps ( Or US, German or whatever) might in a "lazy" fashion just target the relevant MSCI indice constituents for investment purposes - Might that explain the late big interest in IOF today - As SG suggests?

I suppose the MSCI indices can be used to check historical trends in different markets and would therefore be very useful for those making investment decisions without possibly the manpower for in depth analysis of individual companies ( unlike us IOF BBer`s)

Not sure on what basis IOF have been included for selection - It may just be a random regular circulation thing going on - but If SG is right this inclusion of IOF in the MSCI indices might be a decent driver for further share price gains in the near future

More new job postings:

Iodine Plant Operator, Alva, OK

The more important one though:

FIELD CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT – IODINE EXTRACTION PLANTS

'The Company goal is to ensure that a three more new IoSorb (processing) plants are built and operating effectively and efficiently by the end of 2013-as well as four new plants a year constructed and put into operation each year in the immediate future. '

Think they might be under-playing that a little!

KR,

And you and I are on the same page regarding health. (And I'm nearer their age than yours.)

"At the danger of sounding condescending, I am seriously in awe of the fact that Titus and Scruts have reached such venerable ages. At 42 with half a liver, a desperate need for varifocals and a morning stiffness all in the wrong places, it is not just annoying that their maths is significantly more advanced than mine."

Love it KR!
