31/10/2013 08:05 | IO2 news is impressive and it will be interesting to see the IO3 figures when running at maximum capcity in three or four weeks time. The guidance figures quoted by the board should be smashed, it is all looking very positve. | rogerbridge

31/10/2013 07:55 | Bob I've used the 275 to 300 ppm range, but IOF mentioned some extremely high ppm wells in previous releases. I suspect it is over slightly over the 300 mark, but the figures given out so far cover 275 to 300ppm. If it is over 300, the io2 site at 50k bod looks capable of 700mt on it's own, and for that site, it seems the opex would therefore be ridiculously low v competitors. Rewind many months about the 'debate' over io2 being a 450mt plus lucrative site. As mentioned in the past, it's not the number of plants, but the bpd and ppm. It just shows what else could be out there with 40k and 80k sites being mentioned. The io2 site won't be the only site of high ppm. | superg1
31/10/2013 07:52 | If they are putting another plant on IO2 , there are a lot of benefits... site is already prepared, electricity hooked up etc; and they will be able to use the same staff to run the two plants. | the librarian
31/10/2013 07:49 | I wonder what Ennismore are thinking ? :@) | captain_kurt
31/10/2013 07:47 | "Large, productive brine flows which exceed current IO#2 capacity." lets not forget theres 40,000bpd ish at the io3 site. wonder what our competitors are thinking of that rns. the rollout is going reasonably strong. a giant company in the making. (if allowed) roll on the rollouts. ps.. sg you are again bang on the money re io2 | jointer13
31/10/2013 07:46 | Hey Bag, that worked out nicely, can you focus on the water now please :-) | the librarian
31/10/2013 07:42 | I guess it would depend if iof intend using a 30k plant or maxsorb for io#7 + | noli
31/10/2013 07:41 | Noli, Yes they need to get procurement for IO#7 sorted as that plant site is more or less in place. | che7win
31/10/2013 07:37 | If IOF decide to move the plant which i think they will, that gives us a new site which is already prepared. A very nice rns and perfect timing. | noli
31/10/2013 07:37 | Superg, No mention of mini-pods, would be nice to have 1 up and running soon. On IO#2, seems such a waste to see all that iodine go to a SWD site...definitely see them swooping over io#6 | che7win
31/10/2013 07:36 | We are being spoilt. If no update within the next 2 weeks some here will be baying for blood!! | ammons
31/10/2013 07:31 | Feeling better Bag? | roboben
31/10/2013 07:31 | 1MadMarky take a look at post 10323 written by johncsimpson it explains Iofina's phased approach to the roll out of new plant. | bobsworth
31/10/2013 07:24 | Great RNS on IOF#3 with pictures to boot. Good to see them positively fine tuning their business plan with reference to IOF#6. IOF#2 sounds very impressive. Looking forward now to an update on their production figures. | bobsworth
31/10/2013 07:22 | One point to make for the other new builds going forwards. IO3 started construction around the middle of June. It's now ready to run. End of October. That's 4 And a half months. This is not bad, but when thinking ahead of when plants will be online it's worth keeping it in mind and thus feet on the ground. | 1madmarky
31/10/2013 07:21 | H IO3 online but the point of interest to me is the io6/io2 comment. Clearly io2 is getting some high ppm brine and they want to process it all, sooner rather than later. From the early figures on io2 which included some old brine it seemed to came out at 270 ppm but indications are that it could be 300ppm. We know they said 50k bpd plus is going there. Using the 90% yield calculation. 50/7 x 275 = 1.96mt per day 50/7 x 300 = 2.14mt per day Using 85% up time as indicated, that's 600mt to 660mt for the io2 site using 85% up time, 90% yields and a 275-300ppm range. The other obvious benefits of that change is operational efficiency, as no further staff will be needed, and all the services, rights of way etc are all in place. If they do that the io1 and 2 site more or less hit the 700mt mark, certainly recycling would seem take it over that figure. | superg1
31/10/2013 07:20 | But, let's pre-empt the de-rampers and recognise that IO6 will not be up and running before January as it is being planned for a better site than first thought. | meadow2
31/10/2013 07:16 | Excellent news. Better than the FED hurricane :@) The news we have been waiting for on IO3 and the cash cow IO2 just got alot better "Large, productive brine flows which exceed current IO#2 capacity" | captain_kurt
31/10/2013 07:15 | Big question is how will MMS react to this positive news? | nashwan123
31/10/2013 07:13 | Wow, this is a great RNS. So they're thinking they'll need to build IO#6 next to IO#2 because the volume is so great? You could not dream of better wording in an RNS! Now all we need to do is sit back and wait for the first set of figures for throughput and amount recovered. It will come. Then sit back and wait for the same story from the rest of the plants..oh, and then the water rights confirmation. Utterly brilliant. Let the good times roll! | soggy
31/10/2013 07:11 | Excellent...great stuff!! :) | warmsun |
