Highly Geared: as you will know the short term production target for IOF is 700-1000 Mt pa.

On the demand side US iodine imports are ca 7000 Mt pa which is an obvious medium term target. US users would evidently prefer to buy from a US source.

This is of course not a limiting number: North America represents only 23% of the world market and IOF are already supplying overseas customers (eg India).

SG - many thanks for responding to my earlier post. The fact the demand side of the equation seems resilient and set to be stable or grow long term is reassuring.

I may acquire some stock next week once the debt ceiling debacle is resolved and the markets settle down to more FED money printing...,
All the best.

Thanks orslega/superg,
The new products I'm sure will bring new customers, all part of the growth plan as well as Indian diversification.

Che

They said some end users are paying extra for prill that they don't need as prill is all that is available. IOF will have crystal so that should be an easy sell as it's cheaper than prilled iodine.

On the non iodine product that comes back in this year, there are apparently only two companies that make it. With new products obviously that's a niche sector for IOF alone.

Orslega,
I was going to say the very same to superg, great posts today.

The only thing I would say on customers, I would like to see them diversify more going forward.
