If the US continue playing their game of bluff wrt their debt obligations. Then Ennis could be lucky.... But I think not.

Trouble is the moment they try it we can see it via the reporting system, which I doubt is a very popular recent addition in that sector.

They can't say 'sorry guys, got that wrong' while others are short, now comes the smoke and mirrors imo. :-)

EDIT

I suspect they do, and post. We've probably been 'arguing' over a few points for months.

Once the water permit is awarded it will be 3-0 to the BB, with just 1 minute of time added on left.

superg1,
That suggests that if they have any brains, then Ennis should be closing?!All they have to do is read this board!!

Ennis won't be closing. Their first 2 reasons for the position have been proved wrong.

Item 3 on the menu is that IOF won't get a water permit.

As I pointed out a while back, there are laws that show if the criteria is met then they have to be given, a tick list.

IOF's tick list is complete hence the application says-:

'application correct, and COMPLETE'

So item 3 will be gone soon.

engelo, many thanks. Was at London presentation but did not hear that Europe presentations were being postponed....hopefully only postponed short term.

But in some ways would much prefer US presentations as priority over European. After all, they aim to be largest US iodine producer - will be well received - reduce iodine import, less pressure on budgets, lol

And yes, they certainly have much higher PEs for growth companies : )

So dual listing within 18 months..

orslega: Believe original plan was to present in London in w/c 24th and in Europe w/c 30th. Europe dates were then cancelled in favour of more presentations in the UK (London, Leeds, Edinburgh etc). My supposition (I don't know) is that the BoD would be back in the US last weekend. Don't think they would want to take any more time away from the action.

Another piece of news coming out of the presentations was that IOF have firm plans to present to US instis but don't know the timescale for this. They have higher PEs over there :-)

but at the same time, the share price has been holding reasonably well, so sells being soaked up...ie buyers happy to accumulate...on face of it doesn't look like a large seller or maybe drip feeding..

in any event, current share price pretty irrelevant in the scheme of things for longs...

be interesting to see some new buyers lining up after all the II/Fund presentations last week...guessing a weeks lead time for internal decision making...so later this week might get some positive response to those presentations...or maybe money being parked until US get their budget act sorted...

but intervening IO#3 update might kick start sp

...does anyone know if II presentations now finished?

whilst there is a supply, doesn't appear to be in very great quantities...ADVFN currently showing 277,000 buys v 61,000 sells...whilst not the full picture, show trending on buy side

Mike
The USA impact on markets has been very significant - see Australian markets fell back again last night on lack of USA progress. I just hope and pray the yanks pull their fingers OUT soon & sign off their government budget and reset their debt ceiling by the 17th Oct deadline. A USA default on non payment of their debt interest will be a disaster.
More than happy to wait post 17th Oct for IOF#3 commissioning news + update on IO#4, 5 & 6.

Spike well they said on 25th it will be built on time, so surely no issues re sorting that.

Generally they 1 to 2 weeks to run the brine through to get it optimised, and a decent idea on production and yield rates.

io2 may well have some decent increased rates of production to report about too.

Personally I wouldn't be surprised if the announcement for IO.3 came after the U.S. funding crisis is resolved (no more than 11 days away).

It also gives them time to get the plant up and running stably and be able to announce the bpd (barrels per day) throughput.

Best wishes - Mike

engelo, yes IOF are planning to install back up power generators, that is also covered in PI presentation...so they won't be reliant on third party electrical hiccups (which occurred earlier in the year and stifled production..)
