23/7/2013 15:34 | To be truthful the product did not stand out on the shelf, it took me a few minutes to locate it, the bottom shelf to me says its not a prime produts for tesco due to the placement. People usually always stick to what they know, whether its a product or garage etc as they usually trust the service if they have enjoyed the previous version/service. BOYT have won awards for the product but nothing anywhere in tesco stating its one if not the best product out there. That is what lets it down in my eyes. | ![]() noli

23/7/2013 15:24 | Noli Customers are a tough cookie when it comes to trying to persuade them to change to something else. Once you have something you like, and can work with it, why change. In the case of the Byot cleaner, I don't see various households suffering ill health as a result of a lack of having the product. Take fairy they do a disinfection version but it doesn't seem to affect sales of their other products. It's a similar reasons to why I think Pure circle will struggle on retail products. Most customers like good old fashioned sugar, and like the price. Paying many times the price for a smaller pot just doesn't work on the minds of customers, no matter how sweet it is. Concentrates have been on shelves before re various products, but they want what they know in the bigger bottle. Anything put into an own brand package, is considered a bargain, lower quality product. My logic doesn't fit with most, but agreeing to put such a great product, in a Tesco branded cleaner just seems to be pointless. I know there are many aspects and sectors it can be used in, and will be watching it. On the flip side, if FUM ever get their 'Viagra condom' on the shelves, it wouldn't matter so much if it said 'Tesco' on it, people will buy it. | ![]() superg1

23/7/2013 14:37 | As you will see from older posts I was surprised it just kept on marching up from the 150 range. I thought it would bounce between 150 to 170 until we got an update but it just kept going. It just didn't seem to break stride. Now we have had a retrace which was well over-due (post the climb to just over £2), as these things either way are never straight lines. A point I always say on any share is don't chase the price. Personally I try to work the other way and buy when others are selling or have sold. Take bad news days on some shares, all try to fly out in the first 10 minutes, but if you hold your nerve, if you want out, you'll always get a better price later in the day, the same goes for buying on shares with big news. I blame Zac myself as this is not the 4th time he has got the move wrong. Although I think he meant over a longer time period than just a week or two. | ![]() superg1
