I think I'll wait for the dust to settle, the market has no understanding of this, not even most funds already invested.

My thoughts are a lump of cash will appear wiping out concerns and they will love that, they won't get them via fund raising so they may as well uncross their fingers.

Note the line

'The Company will not fund this non-core water project with the current Iofina cash on hand but instead seek a joint venture partner or specific project financing exclusively within Atlantis Water Solutions.'

It looks like that JV will appear meaning a chunk of cash up front. I wouldn't be surprised if something has been on the table subject to the award of the permit. Forest Dorn (the oil guy) who we never really hear about, has been sorting the water side.


SG - you may well be right about a JV waiting in the wings, but note they also do not rule out, and specifically state as an option, going it alone by using project financing within AWS. I was pleased to see that, as it means they are properly evaluating options :-)

I still dont quite undertand why, when so many people were pleased they dropped Hal JV last time, those same people are so gung ho hapy about having a JV this time, unless of course the financials stack up that much better than with Hal last time around.

Very pleased with the joint venture decision for the water business.What caught my eye was that 5 of the 10 bays will be for hot water. Far more value there than I anticipated.
Good and increasing production and revanue.

Without getting too optimistic - IOF is also sitting on it's own frack able gas and oil , plus a whacking great helium reserve .
I always said that Atlantis was easily worth a quid by itself and the iodine business was for free . Hence willingness to lend 5m bucks.
