Agree Che7win, hopefully the outcome of the strategic review and any new plant rollout will come out at the same time as the interim results.

I admire a good bullish approach mate, after all this is a quoted firm and in this wonderful world of capitalism we can all take a view and have a little flutter.

As for a takeover? Well, I'd be slightly more inclined to go along with you if this could make some money.

As things stand there are just too many blockers to this simple business goal.

Some of them are management, some side-effects of oilfield activity, some simply due to always being undercapitalised as a business.

The idea is interesting, but the environment is too uncertain and too limited to be a blue-print for success.

It is essentially a small-scale business that could make money if managed well. But it is in no way a £300m venture, more like an unquoted £10m affair that makes a mill or 2.

The real value is the oilfield, not iodine, not water, not gas. It's oil and Mr Big knows it, and he will take this over, by default, after the next funding round.

It's not a line in the sand at all, far from it, it's only the beginning.

Lance and Tom know it is only the beginning. So far, Lance has done exactly what he promised he would do in his interview with the FT.

They have been on an efficiency drive, staffing costs cut, duplication in processes cut, new procedures put in place, they have still got a way to go so it's no line in the sand, not by a long shot. That's what I like, plenty more improvements to go.

Let's see what cash they have to play with and their plans going forward, at this price the market is looking in the rear view mirror.

No, it's only the start in my opinion, Lance has been ahead of the iodine market, that guy is on the ball.

Contrary to your unfounded theories, the endgame here will be a takeover. And it will be a lot higher than 40p WHEN that happens, the only question is how much higher...can the company stay independent long enough to avoid a low-ball offer.

You miss my point though MELLY, the interims are being heralded as a line in the sand... a big mistake.

Yes, let's stick to on-topic. Don't become obsessed by the interims, they'll only give you a feel of what's coming... a direction of travel. The real horror movie comes in the finals.

Still a good few months of moderate entertainment to come, before the beginning of the final act. Be patient, this is a grim work in progress. Greek tragedy? For some more than others.

We know H1 results won't be great, and that is more than priced in currently imo.

The focus will be on current operations and any news that these 'shortterm plant issues' have now been addressed

Wonder if details of interims have leaked today, don't they have to be released by tomorrow?
Always suspicious of cos. that run it to the wire, what do they gain by hiding the bad news, it comes out in the end?

Have you ever seen High Plains Drifter Arlington?

Why is everyone free-loading on here now? Don't you know it's your moral duty, as service users, to pay a little to post?

Where have society's morals gone? Sigh...
