01/5/2014 15:30 | What do the chartists have to say? (This is a rhetorical question) | ![]() joestalin
01/5/2014 15:24 | beer, this drop is due to the Numis note slashing their TP by two thirds I would think. | ![]() diggulden
01/5/2014 15:24 | It's a note with the same forecasts as we know one says hold 47 conservative the other says buy 65 TP conservative just out GMP | ![]() superg1
01/5/2014 15:21 | Stated as conservative with upside especially post brine issues. Talk of mini plants and expected iodine price rise going into 2015. Chile costs put at 30 to 45 which fits in with my findings. I of costs 20 to 25. | ![]() superg1
01/5/2014 15:13 | Well gap say 65pfor now conservative too but they seem to grasp the Chile costs issue | ![]() superg1
01/5/2014 15:12 | This is ridiculous, 10% down, no RNS.. no production figures update, only 1.2 m shares traded. I am starting to belive that PI's are not relevent on this stock. Very confused, I dont like that the M&M run the stock.. Some comments on the forum imply we have infulance, I dont belive that now even with Mr Big (respect), the share price is not reflecting most investors emotional connection here. If it gets back to 2.47p I am out. No humour intended. | ![]() beercapafn
01/5/2014 13:46 | We have had more kitchen sinks thrown at us now than are currently in stock at Homebase. What's next? "Research shows that Iodine is so toxic that even saying the word will give you nob rot". | ![]() monkeymagic3
01/5/2014 13:45 | PS in my own view just the IP on IOSorb has to be worth substantially more than the current market cap, with the plant and production profits thrown in for free.NAI | ![]() cyberbub
01/5/2014 13:43 | Roboben I suspect a volume update next week might be not that high! But if it shows that we should be broadly cashflow positive/breakeven then I will be happy - the Iofina story will take a few months to start turning upwards again IMO. And even if they confirm monthly updates (rather than quarterly) then that will be a positive IMO and show an increased openness.GLA | ![]() cyberbub
01/5/2014 13:17 | My 5000 top up at 40.85 has showed up as a sell. | ![]() obbig60
01/5/2014 13:01 | Well, if iodine production figures are to be reported on a monthly basis as it says in the Numis note, the April figures should be ready for release soon. RNS on Tuesday, perhaps? Maybe that will cheer us all up a bit! | roboben
01/5/2014 12:58 | ors Probably why they gifted 40p to them today. When I saw someone mention the 47p note I actually sat my wife down suspecting what was coming so she could see how it works. Bids came off and sellers flew in, then around 40p the iceberg popped up, I explained what an iceberg was, then 100's of 1000's shares later of sells it's still 40p. Perhaps they will knock it down further if the sellers dry up. That's Mr market for you, to get shares you drop the price not raise the price as many think. No doubt the buyer will kindly put them on offer much higher, if monthly production looks good, news of further plants, details that chesa have sorted re-routing brine etc etc, all of which is very likely. Then of that hearing sometime in May or June, 3rd June is a preliminary box filler not a confirmed date imo. | ![]() superg1
01/5/2014 12:39 | You have gonads, Florence? I see it differently, I think these virtuous people are offering us free money. | ![]() joestalin
01/5/2014 12:36 | Yes their agenda seems to be to kick us PIs in the gonads!!! | florence10
01/5/2014 12:23 | but not sure how those of their clients who were buying in at 103 (when Numis starting covering Numis) in January with a target of 156p would be feeling today, knowing their recommended previous buy in price was more than double current target! Maybe they're out, so all change. Possibly why Numis today say hold, rather than buy but forgetting to add "we are clueless about the future share price". anyway, without doubt, brokers always have another agenda.... | orslega
01/5/2014 12:20 | I just topped up at 41p - this is getting silly. More next week if the price remains below 50p. | ![]() joestalin
01/5/2014 12:13 | Awol The key there is on apparent risk it got dramatically better re the loan note, and other factors have been mentioned since. On the high price cash was low, no prospect of expansion, brine situation poor for some plants. Now the word is there will be expansion this year, brine situation may well be improved, cost cutting etc etc Rumour was that funds were more than keen to get involved for any fund raising, but it looks like Mr B spoilt the party with his 40p note. Next thing we know we have a conservative 47p and a buyer that soaked up all the sells around 40p. Much of the churn had gone, 45p being poked at and broken at times. Clearly someone else has insisted on 40p too, then up pops the note lol. They had to be quick as if IOF get the water the water permit at the hearing it would completely mess up the 40p target price, and have those blasted PIs spoiling the plan once more. They know how to free up shares. No doubt if they had a seller at 50 to 55p the conservative paragraph wouldn't be there at a TP above that, getting us buying while a seller bailed out. Seems blatantly obvious to me to free up shares for a buyer. Some will be happy to get them more cheaply though. | ![]() superg1
01/5/2014 11:49 | SG1 ..."Next thing you know icebergs appear around 40p on the bid. Call me cynical but do Numis have a buyer and they can't get the stock at the price they want?..." Right on the Money....games...how can they explain to their clients that the note from last month has moved so dramatically when the business has not moved....just delayed! | ![]() awolagain
01/5/2014 10:36 | We understand that Iofina will be reporting Iodine production on a monthly basis. The focus on 'we understand' Why haven't they mentioned the other 'we understands' regarding potential rerouting of brine and other 'stuff'. Anyway I won't go into that and the iceberg collection point has taken a few hundred k PI shares already it seems. | ![]() superg1
01/5/2014 10:25 | Beer yes it was rumoured now fact. Numis Hmmmmmmmmm left the high prices when the risk was high, now the de-risk has come and the bond plus rumours of io2 doing well again and they put a big TP drop. Next thing you know icebergs appear around 40p on the bid. Call me cynical but do Numis have a buyer and they can't get the stock at the price they want? | ![]() superg1
01/5/2014 10:24 | Monthly production numbers will be great to have, just like the oil companies | ![]() 1madmarky
01/5/2014 10:20 | Yes, excellent news about the monthly reporting, suggests real confidence that they will improve month on month and impress the market. | ![]() woodpeckers
01/5/2014 10:14 | ■ Iofina funding position: Iofina had a cash balance of $2.3m at the end of Q114. We understand that there is less than $1m of remaining capex committed to plant construction and cash inflow is expected in FY14 from both operations and inventory draw-down. The company's balance sheet has recently been boosted by a $5m convertible loan from Pancea Ltd. Based on our production forecasts and lower G&A we believe Iofina is fully funded for FY14 and FY15 and has capacity to invest in additional plants. | ![]() diggulden
01/5/2014 10:07 | This is brilliant, if it happens. "Iofina to report iodine production on a monthly basis and see this as a key trading indicator for investors and a method of de-risking our full year iodine forecasts" Quote from Numis apparently. | ![]() beercapafn |
