JCS, Smug and dismissive is never a good look.

Please be aware that many good people are badly underwater here, with family and friends having lost patience and sold up at a whacking loss.
I am not selling any, in fact I have been adding at various points, thinking it can't go lower, yet sadly it does.
It helps my average, but does nothing for my financial health in any way at all.

I can only assume that the institutions who previously showed interest in IOF, following presentations and meetings, have since lost interest. Or,maybe they have decided to see proof of the business plan physically being implemented before they pile in. They may wish to see increasing positive cash-flow and a healthy balance sheet before taking any risk.
Whatever the reason, supply continues to outstrip supply here... and given that a large percentage of IOF shares were tightly held (or held by Directors) then that is mysterious to say the least.
Having said that, trading volumes are pathetic, so it is not as if anyone is dumping shares to cause this horrible drip-drip.

So John, feel free to ignore or filter those who are suffering, (or moaning if that is how you perceive it),but don't judge them, it does not become you.

You ought to try GKP for a while hitsha, or any share really they all require patience unless you are an experienced trader they are all up and down like yo-yo's. BRDY have locked in PI's money since last April... that is bloody rubbish!

Fancy a pint neddo? We could talk about it.

hitsha3 - you're boring me - and others too I suspect. Masterful call on the price but only just. If the shares are so rubbish (I seem to recall rubbish from last night as well) then please sell up and leave, or try some anagrams with your avatar . . .

bs,

FY 2014:
Up to IO#9 producing.
Production from IOsorb plants + re-cycling: 1430 mT (Exit rate: 1900 mT pa)
No prediction on water project.
Admittedly conservative.
Still would give a very healthy profit and cash flow.

Well, my outlook, for a bit of fun, is that we will be up to IO10 producing, by this time next year with exit rates in excess of minimum 3500mt. Also one water depot at 80000bpd and another permit in process, or possibly granted. If we achieve all of that I will be happy. Just for a giggle, you understand, but reasonably realistic to achieve I think. Who knows, it could be more!

It's possible to get really down if you're expecting water news, maybe next week, only to discover that it doesn't appear for another fortnight. Frankly, that disappointment is hardly surprising, but what difference will a couple of weeks make to the actual production timetable at this stage?

I think the answer is that it will make no difference at all. Production will begin in the spring. The worst of the winter will have to be out of the way before the depot can be built, surely. That gives quite a bit of leeway for permissions to be finalised before delays in that could cause delays to the build and therefore to production and hence income.

News next week might settle our nerves but that won't lead to revenues any more quickly than news in a months time as far as I can see.

field3 at this moment in time the water side is just an extra, iodine is the core business. Water revenue when it comes will be good but i am not expecting iof to go all guns blazing on it. As we know permits take time to achieve and iof are learing all the time.

You never know in the non to distant future we might just have water/oil/helium as a business. Still fantastic earners though.

obbig60 - Agree, Flashblock is also useful . . . I'll disable my Ad Block 1.0.0 and see if I notice a difference,

Re Flashblock - What the developers say / claim

Flashblock is an extension for the Mozilla, Firefox, and Netscape browsers that takes a pessimistic approach to dealing with Macromedia Flash content on a webpage and blocks all of the Flash content from loading. It then leaves placeholders on the webpage that allow you to click to download and then view the Flash content.

Hopefully, if superg1 is correct and good news re water appears before Christmas, we could have full permission at the end of Jan or early Feb, and a boost to share price

johncsimpson - thanks, I got Firefox 25 and will install the adblocks

sg - I bought IOF initially for the water business (it took me a lot longer to understand how important iodine is) and I don't think of it is as just a bonus to the iodine business and hope they do a jv. I look forward to whenever the news comes

Previous post uploaded in error before complete . . .

field3 (and anyone else hacked off with the adverts down the side) - just to add to beercapafn. I'm using Firefox 26 which is a beta incarnation but it appears stable re ADVFN; there might be issues elsewhere but then there always are. Firefox 25 also gave no problems. I don't normally run beta versions but as I say, it seems OK re ADVFN - it (the beta version 26) installed when I wasn't paying attention. I'm using 2 versions of 'adblock' which seem to work for these versions of Firefox. That is not to say that other variations aren't as good. As always everyone's input adds:

Ad Block 1.0.0 - which appears as ADS in a red hexagon

Adblock Plus 2.4 - which appears as ABP in a red hexagon

Note the spelling and the placing of capitals. These can be accessed from the Tools menu > Add –ons > Get Ad-ons, though I see the Firefox team have, in their wisdom, re-jigged the interface. If this is problematic, just google them for Firefox. Hope that helps.

Adblock Plus also puts a sub-menu under the Tools tab (v26) which gives a few options. Further, if you right click when on an ADVFN page, sometimes, but not always you get an Adblock sub menu in the window that appears (last item). Don't know what you can do with it but perhaps someone else does – it's not an issue, however.

Field

If you like water, the current thoughts on that is news pre xmas.

That's the best we can do for now, if that changes, to new year I'll post.

The full 120 days is the end of Jan.

The last biggish permit took 9 weeks ish from application complete to PDTG. well 9 has just gone, but the thought process is based on a lot more than other examples.
