Yes I know Iofina's share price got ahead of it's, hence the summer correction but with new plants fast approaching production it would be good to see a sustain rise again in the share price.

Fingers crossed Iofina now stay totally focused on delivering their stated iodine business plan and do not change direction last minute on pending site placements etc.

Onwards and upwards eh!

60p eps (and a share price of £12) - presupposes $40/kg margin from 3200mT/pa - perfectly plausible by the time, if IO#10 is at peak production 18 months from now.

However experience this year shows repeated slippage. For the moment I feel compelled to scale everything back by 25% until the company begins to commission plants as forecast. Who knows perhaps IO#4 WILL be constructed by end Nov as forecast and IO#5 & 6 WILL be delivered by end Dec - but they then need six weeks for construction and a further six weeks to bring to rated output..... or am I not seeing progress as it actually is?

If so the record for this year: IO#2/3/4/ will show less production than had been expected - three plants added to last year's pilot IO#1, operating at rated output by the end of 2013 as opposed to six signaled at the start of this year.

Hotr0d,
I like to think i'm realistic.
Everything going to plan, only have to wait for plant rollout, and the money rolling in.
At the moment, I'm thinking what can go wrong, so I'm imagining every disaster possible. So far, they only delay world domination, they don't effect the outcome!!
And I'd love to see £5 by April. Here's hoping. [I expect it by September tho!]

Okay then, April for sure, when IOF release their full year 2013 results and the market finally wakes up to Iofina's massive potential based on reliable plant production & turnover and high marginal profits thanks to their very low capex.

A week ago Iofina stated!

Operational Update

Iofina, specialists in the exploration and production of iodine and iodine specialty chemical derivatives, is pleased to report that construction of the IO#3 production plant is currently being finalized and commissioning procedures will begin next week. Full scale production at the plant is expected to begin shortly thereafter.
......................
So commissioning procedures have begun!

Full scale production soon then!

The Future!

Looks like the new aqueous Li-I2 (Iodine) battery is rapidly closing the gap for electric vehicles to be able to travel a 311 mile diving range, comparable to the current gasoline-powered internal combustion engine vehiles!

hxxp://www.greencarcongress.com/2013/07/riken-20130708.html

In summary
The I3–/I– redox reaction-operated aqueous Li-I2 battery exhibited excellent cyclic performance with considerable energy and power densities. Ideal Coulombic efficiency and capacity retention with no degradation of cathode establish the aqueous Li-I2 battery as one of the outstanding post-Li batteries. The specific energy density (~0.33 kWh kg-1) is fairly promising in comparison to the conventional lead-acid, nickel-metal hydride and Li-ion batteries, and can be further improved to be ~0.4 kWh kg-1 using NaI or LiI instead of aqueous KI...The aqueous cathode system can be also extendable to aqueous Na-I2 and K-I2 batteries. We believe that this energy storage system can be scaled up with a reasonably increased energy density by combining a flow-through-mode system.
