A small dividend might at least reward investors, investing is about returns not another 10 years of waiting.

Maybe it should have been pointed out the share price was higher in 2010...

Good report of meeting by naphar
I asked what they were going to do about the abysmal share performance, which created an interesting conversation which the board including the brokers took part in.
The response was that eventually the company will reap the benefits of it's current and future performance.
Overall an very confidant AGM
Here's Hoping

Yes they did seem quietly confident.

Also don’t expect a listing elsewhere… expensive and again, better to invest for growth given the additional annual costs of moving to the US market. Value should, ultimately, come out in the end.

Seems a fairly accurate account to me, Naphar! And they seemed quietly very confident.

Thank you, naphar. I thought I might attend this year and then I had a few unexpected bills and thought better of it, particularly since London hotel prices now seem considerably higher!

Apparently there are some buyers out there happy to be soaking up some shares at this price level.

Apart from Richard Sneller and the Newlands, there are one or two other more recent shareholders, such that between them, RS and The Newlands, they hold a little over the 30% mark.

Whilst as a shareholder I may not feel so excited currently, the board said probably a few times that they are excited about the future and the growth opportunity ahead of them.

IO9 is currently at a run rate near the lower end of the 100-150mt level and there are ongoing plans with the brine supplier to get that up nearer the 150mt level. IO9 is a middle of the road cost per mt site currently and more brine will help bring it to a lower level in terms of cost per mt.

The board don’t feel they are far away from achieving the 1000mt level and my take was they expect to be there in next couple of years max. Would be interested to know if other attendees took the same messaging away on that?

From my perspective nothing to be worried about but also, as I said to Tom, it feels like we are plodding along in a solid consistent fashion, and I didn’t hear anything to get excited about really (edit for context: meaning nothing to get excited about like 12 years ago when the share price went to £2.50 on the back of multiple plant rollouts and water projects, none of which had a particularly great outcome)… some promising irons in the fire for sure, but nothing they will be drawn on too much given past failings, I think they don’t want to create false expectations.

As was commented by others, the board look much more relaxed than say 5 years ago, understandably, and they certainly feel that way. Tom made a comment about $20m of debt being stressful (my choice of word).

That said, I still feel we are definitely undervalued at the current level, the board certainly agree but cannot control the share price. They have to keep growing the business and deliver on that. Tom did seem to note down some proactive audience suggestions re communications though.

Definitely do NOT expect a dividend any time soon.

Definitely do NOT expect any type of open market share buyback. If blocks of a few million plus shares became available, they would try to buy those if available for a reasonable price, instead of seeing them hit the open market.

Did the question get asked at the recent IMC online meeting? Surely that was a good, recent forum in which to do so?

Rambo: Many investors post that he is past the sell-buy date, and many have posted that his Seeds fiasco and NON-REPAYMENT of the $ 1,000,000 loan should be the end of his involvement in IOF.

If you look at the new website for IOF, his BIO is longer and more flowery than the Chelsea show but does not point out his Major Lead in the Seeds debacle.

Just saying.....

OK. If you have been a long-term holder then it has not been a profitable journey, agreed.

However, the fundamentals are sound.

With #11, 12, and 13, the money just pours out.

If we could just get past Lance having anything to do with the Company.

It might just gain Institutional Invertors.
