04/12/2023 15:05 | Festario - I don't appreciate you calling me a liar, purely because you can not grasp other people's successes on the stock market and you base it on your own failures. Rather than coming back to me with a toxic response and name calling, why not ask. I think we are all aware why you can't. Clearing it up for the bulletin board because you decided to put me down, I purchased 750k in various blocks at the end of 2015, sold half at the beginning of 2018 and I did indeed buy them back on the covid crash. It doesn't make me stupid at all. I am not a trader of shares. I normally buy shares that I feel have good growth potential for normally a 5 year term, unless things change drastically in that term. Not everybody has the same way of dealing with shares. Maybe you should open your mind and realise this rather than saying someone is a liar because it is different to yours. | jwoolley
04/12/2023 11:37 | jwoolley, i expect a few on here will volunteer for that job. ;) | nellyb
04/12/2023 11:11 | jw, I think we all deserve answers to so many things. Just out of interest what do you want answers for ? | serratia
04/12/2023 10:46 | No one has a low single digit average on IOF, stop telling lies. It's nigh on impossible for that to be true, unless you bought ALL your shares on the day of the covid crash, and never sold. That would merely make you stupid. | festario
04/12/2023 10:39 | Admittedly, my frustrations are not as high as some, because I have a low single digit average, but the constant let downs, the length of time it seems to take to do anything and the lack of clarity from this board is seriously becoming tiresome. I think we all deserve answers to so many things. They constantly seem to think they can get away with this (and let's face it, they have been) with calming us off every time with a little snippet of this and a little snippet of that. We all feel good about it for a while, but then realisation comes in that they haven't said anything about so many things and the share price dropping all the time reflects this. Maybe it's time to all get together...write to the board that we want answers and making that letter public and put it on various bulletin boards. If we agree with the letters, give it a thumbs up and then they might start to realise it's time to really keep shareholders informed with the progress or problems and not just say they will like previously, and nothing changes??? | jwoolley
02/12/2023 01:48 | 'planning'. 'potential'. That doesn't sound like the IO10 plant is nailed down. Afaik, in the past plant construction started when the plant was announced. Even if they didn't start construction until January, if they ordered all the parts when it was announced the build out should only be 4-5 months. Yet we are now talking about 'potential' for the end of 2024. Hmmm......And no news on further investment on the chemicals side. Given the slow pace of IO10, and no sign of a real expansion plan on the chemical side, they don't need all the cash being generated, so share buybacks or dividends should be implemented immediately. Especially given the financing is in place for any unexpected development. | fft
01/12/2023 15:30 | Looks like sellers are still pushing the share price down, when will it breakout of this range. | beeezzz
01/12/2023 12:43 | Tweet out:The Company is planning to launch a tenth plant, situated near IO#9 in Western Oklahoma, which is part of Iofina's ongoing expansion, with a potential launch date mid-to-late next year.#iodine #iofina #LSE #AIMhttps://x.com/io | lostsole
30/11/2023 15:29 | They said 5 weeks ago that IO#10 was signed. ? | beercapafn
30/11/2023 09:30 | Eh? "In the meantime, IO#10 planning is advancing well and the Company continues to make progress with negotiations relating to our pipeline of further new plants." That's a positive update in my book. | zendo102
30/11/2023 08:54 | Disappointing no update on IO#10 progress. | beercapafn
30/11/2023 08:21 | In an interview last year TB indicated that there could be another plant built at the IO#9 site so would think there is plenty of brine in the area to get it heading towards that 150tpa upper range. | chillpill
30/11/2023 07:27 | Good news that the small technical problem has been solved and the prospects for further growth look assured. | this_is_me

30/11/2023 07:20 | Canaccord have tweaked their figure slightly for this year. Going for $11.5m of EBITDA based on 323mt produced. They have left 2024 figures the same- to produce 645t v 565t for this year. 2024 EBITDA to be $13.2m. They think existing plant production is up 4% on last year with IO#9 producing 30t this year. | chillpill
30/11/2023 07:09 | So for this year they are going to produce about 5-10t less than previously indicated but way more importantly it is now has sufficient water volume to produce over 100t+ pa. | chillpill
30/11/2023 07:06 | RNS out ..Iofina plc, specialists in the exploration and production of iodine and manufacturers of specialty chemical products, is pleased to provide an update on its IOsorb® iodine plant, IO#9, in Western Oklahoma. As previously reported, the ramp-up phase of IO#9, since it was switched on in June 2023, took longer than anticipated. Recently our partner completed upgrades to its water gathering system, which has improved the flow of brine water to the plant. Since the completion of this work, the Company has been able to steadily increase crystalline iodine production with the higher water flow and can confirm that the plant is now operating within the expected range of output. The Company expects second-half production at the bottom, or very marginally below the bottom end of the forecast range of 325-350 MT from its six iodine plants. President and CEO, Dr. Tom Becker, stated: "Whilst IO#9's ramp-up took longer than expected, we are now back on track with the plant producing crystalline iodine at the rate expected. Looking ahead, we feel there is an opportunity with our partner to potentially increase flow even further than the current production rate. In the meantime, IO#10 planning is advancing well and the Company continues to make progress with negotiations relating to our pipeline of further new plants." | lostsole

26/11/2023 06:47 | When you place an order there are 3 ways it can be executed. One is by directly calling a market maker who will make a price to buy or sell shares otherwise you can use algorithmic trading to “work” a trade over a period of time. The 3rd, if you have Direct Market Access (DMA), you can hit the bid or offer in the order book to complete the order. Algo trading works well in bigger and liquid stocks but not very well in illiquid smaller stocks like IOF. Those small trades are just the bots at work and someone working an order on the algo’s. | chillpill
23/11/2023 22:05 | Further interrogation of the UK imports - In addition to the Non EU imports there's another 400 tpa coming in from the EU. A check on individual countries shows that it comes from 3 countries Belgium / France / Netherlands. These countries have European offices for the different Chilean miners. The UK therefore imports around 1000 tpa. I have volumes / prices / month by all countries exporting to the UK. | serratia
23/11/2023 17:46 | Way back I tried to find iodine imports to the uk from outside the EU. I was told back then they were not published so I left the question open. I decided to have another go this week and was told they're not available for confidentiality reasons. I persisted saying I just want tons / value not customer details and was told to knock on a different door. Success, I'm in and after a few attempts to decipher the system I now have the figures I want. Price / volume monthly back to the year 2000. I'm building my spread sheet. I've got non EU imports and I think I can get to individual countries. I'll also check to see if there's any iodine flow from the EU to the UK. Non EU imports are in the 450- 500 tpa range. As with the other main stream I have to convert from in this case £ to $ so I take the mid month exchange rate for 2023 and mid year for earlier years. Figures are up to September for this year. Prices - 2014 $37.7, 2015 $28.94, 2016 $22.17, 2017 $18.93, 2018 $21.85, 2019 $26.37, 2020 $31.97, 2021 $33.27, 2022 $51.84. Average 2023 $68.13, September $67.45. | serratia |
